Imps are about as rabid as wolves with a size to match. When left unchecked, the fodder units of the demonic horde will gather until they are a force of nature themselves. In recent times, hunters and woodsmen have caught and broken down many demons of the lower caste, treating them as thought they were another deer to skin.

Those armed are right to hunt the imps, but it will not suffice to hold them off. Greater weapons and more precise understanding will be required to properly fend off the packs that prowl the lands still fertile. If ignored, greater packs will congregate, and the dark sea will come like the plague."
