Description
One very cool thing of the southwest is the great glow you get during sunset. This shot only lasted for a couple of minutes and the glow was gone. I was at the perfect place at a perfect time
Arch Rock located at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, this is why its called "Valley of Fire"

I like this a lot. The intense orange ground being hit by the late afternoon sun is great. It puts the shadows above instead of below which is quite unique and gives the image great depth.
The colours also contrast brilliantly.

Wow, nature is really good at complimentary colors. Great shot cowboy. I think the white frame really really intensifies the colors in this photo, I had to shield my eyes as I put it in full view. The colors, the shadows, texture, its ....extreme. Great job!

Wow, the vibrant reds on the rock in the foreground made me think of flowing lava upon first glance at this photo. The lighting at sunset can do strange and wonderful things to the surrounding environment...the name Valley of Fire is very appropriate to this area.

You r right, this light of the sunset is unique, and just last for a few minutes, for ex i saw that today when i was shooting the sunset and some places had unique shadows and colors with this light, really nice.

Yes, and the soft light in the early morning is just as great, specially when throw some fog in the mix

yeah, one can see where the name comes from... the colors are very warm and saturated. the sky is a good contrast to the rocks, and the plant thingy is cool, too.

Man, the colors. I envy that sort of clear sky this time of year. Nice diagonal vectors. Cropping off the middle rock works nicely.
