Due to drastic changes in climate and the harsh environment of Marverra where Turtwigs live, they had to adapt. The areas where Turtwig live became drier, hotter and the vegetation died off. Marverran Turtwigs eat rocks, dirt and bugs to gain all the nutrients they need. They can be found on volcanoes, near volcanoes and very rarely in the desert. If one sees burnt footprints in the ground, Marverran Turtwig passed through there or is near.
Evolves into Marverran Grotle at level 18 which further evolves into Marverran Torterra at level 32.
