Description I'm beginning to become suspicious when I'm able to post two pieces in two weeks without some major catastrophe occurring . . . that or I'm procrastinating when I really should be working on my college assignments. I dunno. I'll let you be the judge of that.

Either way, this here is an alien requested by the always awesome and always amazing . And for those that might be confused by the following flavor text, yes, I already did my personal interpretation of what the Martian species might be had they ever appeared (or might appear) in the Ben 10 franchise; this is 's own vision for what they might look like (though I will admit, I had some influence on the design).

With that said and done, onto the facts!

Name: Trakar

Species: Martian

Homeworld: Mars

Powers/abilities: Trakar's main abilities involve the use of his incredibly powerful senses, allowing him to hunt down targets from miles away in some of the worst conditions imaginable; these include keen senses of hearing and smell. His most developed sense however, is that of his sight, which allows him to read the auras of his opponents in order to gain a tactical vantage over them; the blue markings on his body glow when these powers are activated.

Martian's are very muscular and flexible, allowing them to throw themselves great distances by coiling their serpentine body up like a spring and catapulting themselves at their target. This also grants them a degree of strength superior to that of a human.

Being a troglodyte, Trakar is especially adept at digging, squeezing, and forcing their way through tight spaces despite his over all size, that being significantly larger than a human. This is due in part to his ability to temporarily dislocate and relocate just about any bone in his torso, shoulder, and chest in order to fit through just about any opening.

A Martian's long tail/body can be used like a whip to incapacitate foes.

Contrary to his appearance, Trakar is warm-blooded and can tolerate fairly freezing temperatures.

Coming from the inhospitable barren wastelands of Mars, the Martians are capable of surviving toxic and otherwise uninhabitable environments.

Weaknesses: Because Martian's live underground, they have trouble adapting to bright lights and foul odors that can over power their highly sensitive senses.

Trakar can only read and/or following auras for a short period of time before "the reception gets fuzzy", as Ben puts it. According to him, this lasts anywhere between five and ten minutes. Trying to track an opponent's aura in large crowds of like-minded individuals can also render Trakar's aura-reading skill useless.

There is a limit to how small of an opening Trakar can fit or force his body through. He won't be able to fit through any hole smaller than the width of his shoulders if they were dislocated.

Etymology: Trakar's name is a misspelling on the word "tracker", a person who's job it is to hunt and follow targets through various means.

Trivia: The Martians were considered a peaceful and hospitable species to the rare few that ever swung by the "unfashionable western spiral arm of the galaxy" they called home, with the highlight of their year being the visitation of a species of aliens . Nicknamed the "Popcorn Planet" by their guests, the Martians would provide them with an endless supply of the delicious treat until their guests ultimately brought the downfall of their civilization.

While most members of the species perished in the ensuing devastation, a handful of individuals retreated to the network of underground caves on Mars' surface and adapted to their new environment over the course of my generations. Since then, they have become mistrustful of outsiders and have a special hatred in their culture towards the species that led to their primitive state of being. In fact, they hate the aliens so much that they have a yearly tradition in which they will build a statue of the individual that destroyed their civilization and proceeded to burn it to the ground before frolicking about in the ashes.

Up until Trakar's debut, the Plumbers were completely unaware that the Martian's were still alive, as they were thought to have been completely wiped out long before Azmuth started collecting DNA samples for the Omnitrix. Therefore their DNA was thought not to originally be in any known Omnitrix DNA database.

What would an Ultimate Martian look like?

Power-wise, there isn't much change to their previous abilities. While they are no longer able to contort their bodies as expertly, their aura-sensing capabilities have enhanced to a point where they can detect auras far outside of their visual range (which is good, considering they no longer possess eyes). Furthermore, they have reached a point where they are able to manipulate it on a tangible scale, creating balls, weapons, blasts, shields, and other constructs from their own aura based upon their mood. They can also manipulate the aura of others, either removing it (and therefore practically draining the target of their life force), enhancing it, or even influencing their emotions, sort of like a backfeed. As a result, this aura manipulation also greatly enhances their physical capabilities.

Appearance-wise, they would have lost their eyes completely. Ironically, rather than evolving better eyesight, they did away with their eyes entirely in favor of an advanced echolocation system far more advanced and complex than that of Earth's cetaceans or bats. And while still comparatively strong, they've lost a considerably amount of their musculature. Most dramatically however, are the primitive, segmented, insect-like legs that they've evolved on their long tails/bodies - ten, in total - in order to help them get around easier and the large, heat-producing, bio-luminescent patches covering their bodies. They're also a cool blue, rather than a baked red.

Evolutionarily speaking, the Martians assumed this form once they were able to readapt to the surface of their planet once more, either after it was terraformed by another species/organization (such as the Plumbers) or after it had naturally begun to stabilize. Either way, this new environment allowed the Martian species to flourish where they had previously only scraped by. The rocky terrain of their planet required extra limbs for more support and durable skin and their enhanced echolocation and aura-sensing abilities allow them to detect potential prey/enemies before it has noticed them. As a result of their aura-manipulating abilities however, they've evolved a very spiritual society that prioritizes mental strength over physical strength, something they believe should only be applied in large quantities as a last and final resort.

This alien deserves to be in my Ben 10 favorites folder, you did a wondrous jobs explaining the pros and cons of Trakar's abilities, and he has such a badass design! He looks like a fusion of Humongasaur and Ripjaws for some reason!

Another cool creation, dude. Seems like one that can come in handy. Also seems like a good one for Ben to scare people with on Halloween. XD Nice job!

Also, on an unrelated side note, about your long-awaited response to my latest batch of Fire Pro Wrestling World OUAT creations, I just realized that while you did talk about the Nefera, Venus, Apple, Whisp, and Lilith creations, ya hadn't mentioned my other comment with the rest of them (Raven, Cerise, Maddie, the 2 versions of Courtly). Damn DA limiting comments to 5 pictures per comment... Now I'm wondering if ya even saw those. I put that comment as a reply to my original comment. Lol. .....Yammering about this is kinda silly on my part, isn't it...?

Thank you! And yeah, I could see Ben using this guy (as well some of his other non-Anur System aliens) for Halloween tricks and treats

If you meant that you sent pictures of Raven, Cerise, Maddie, and Courtley, then no, I didn't receive a notification for them. This is most likely because you replied to your own comment and instead of replying to one of my comments, which doesn't give me any indication that you posted one unless I happen to visit the source by random chance (seeing as how these are on my profile and the entire collection stretches on for what I can only assume to be 100 pages or so with multiple rabbit holes and tiers, it's unlikely I'll find it anytime soon).

Dammit, DA. Here I was, trying to keep things neat and organized, and the site goes and does this... *groans* Lol. Guess I should've just made fully separate comments. Ah, well... I figure ya shouldn't have much of a problem finding that comment, since it's recent. Last I saw, it was on the 2nd page of comments on your profile, maybe the 3rd page. Would it be better if I just re-posted them?

CreaturemasterProds In reply to TheBrodRoad [2018-09-29 22:03:01 +0000 UTC]

Well, I found them, but the problem is that I can't actually see the pictures. I mean, when I download/open them in a new tab, they come out really small and any time I try to zoom in, they just become blurry. So I think a re-posting is inevitable.

That's weird. Am I having a taste of the typical Tennyson bad luck here? Lol. Alright, I'll repost them. Here we go.

Co-Leader of Los Ingobernables de Ever After (alongside her Ben), Raven will show the forces of evil just how unfair a set-in-stone Storybook Ending can be.

Maddie knows she's a work of fiction. She knows everyone else is too. That's why everyone that faces her must be extremely careful. She's likely to know how things will end... Her 4th Wall Breaker breaks more than just the barrier between fiction and reality...

The Enforcer of LIEA, as Ben (and his Rath form) can certainly attest to. The "Bold Skull" (nickname parodying LIJ member Sanada's "Cold Skull" nickname) fights with a demeanor that some could mistake for something... wolfish. Will her secret be exposed?

Side note: As you may have read, I was a bit unsatisfied with the couple of hoods they did have, as I wanted her hair to be somewhat visible like hers usually is when she's wearing a hood. Soooo... I went with a bandanna. Again I joke, does that make her "Cerise Bandanna" instead? Hood? Bandanna? XD

Some people don't want to see this particular card in the deck. Those people are right to be wary, for this Joker card has had enough of that kind of treatment. You know what they say about Jokers being wild...

As a bonus, due to the game's ability to let players create multiple outfits for the same character, here's my "Courtly Majima" idea! A shame the game didn't include eyepatches as a face prop... Ah well. Close enough! I wonder if you're still inspired to someday do your own spin on that drawing I sent ya. Lol.

Hopefully these can be properly seen this time.

*cracks fingers* Alright, a brief pause in the insanity that is my life. Time to tackle all these messages!

Fortunately for you, your bad luck seems to be at an end (for now). The pictures, though small, are easily enhanced by my computer, so all's well that ends well, I suppose. And believe me, Ben has a lot worse luck than you do, especially in the upcoming chapter . . . provided I actually get around to it. I'm so busy trying to finish the writing collaborations that I've been dragged into (you've read at least one of them), that I've barely had time to work on the next chapter. The other issue is that when I do have time, I always get stuck on a certain part and I can't move forward until I get unstuck - what's really annoying is that they're usually action bits or fight scenes.

It's getting to a point where I'm thinking of releasing a 'trailer' for the next chapter just so readers still have something to hold onto. I mean, what, it's been over a year now? I'm surprised a good number of them are still hanging around.

I don't really have a lot to comment on when it comes to Raven, mostly because I think you made her so well. While I feel a more witch-oriented title for her finishing move, it probably goes against Raven's character; I mean, she's not apposed to celebrating her heritage as a witch, but she'd rather not be associated with the more negative aspects of being witch, such as being associated with malevolent forces or putting innocent princesses to sleep. Spot on!

Maddie's finishing move is absolutely perfect. That being said, I can easily think up a possible alternative title, or at least a quip that she says before she executes it: "One Lump, or Two?"

In terms of nickname and finishing move title, Cerise is the one I have the most issue with out of this batch, mostly because I feel it could be done better. Personally, I think a better name for her finishing move would be "The Better to Beat you With . . ." or something else that betters hints/pertains to her wolfish nature than "Wolf Training". Her nickname, while still making the reference you want, could be "Wolf Skull", but that's just my opinion.

For Courtly, I like her appearance, but I think the finishing move could use a better title. As cliche as it might be, I think "The Punch Line" would be better suited for her, given her almost Joker-like qualities (particularly when someone gets in the way of her getting what she wants, be it victory, power, or a certain Omnitrix-wielder . . .). That being said, I'm definitely going to have to get around to doing that Majima Courtly drawing; this just keeps getting better and better.

I'm slowly working my way through all your messages, so patience if you please! I will get around to answering them all, I promise!

TheBrodRoad In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2018-11-11 17:28:48 +0000 UTC]

Lol. I kinda feel a little bad for burying ya in so many messages, due to how busy you tend to be. Just what you need: More typing! XD But ya did mention how fans like myself tend to brighten your mood, so I suppose I shouldn't feel TOO rotten about it.

Jeez, no wonder you put your foot down about collaborations. Dammit, people, he's a human being, not a computerized story generator! "Error: Creaturemaster1.exe has malfunctioned! Replace story generator program immediately!" Lol.

Ugh... Fight/action scenes... I feel your pain there. Not sure if you've read any of my works (and I won't blame ya if ya haven't), but I definitely have to put my mind to how action scenes play out when I want to put them in. So many factors and variables... See also, phrasing.

Well, you can't blame us fans for lingering. For me personally, your tales are some that has burrowed their way into my brain and just refuses to leave. Your Ben 10/MH/EAH multiverse is taking up some rent space up in here by churning out thoughts about how some of the ideas I pitched ya might play out (such as my "Apple accidentally meets the modern urban jungle alone" idea or my rejected "CCB Cleo meets Ben's dangerous Earth" one). Hope that doesn't sound weird... XD But yeah, you're good at what you do, dude!

As for the idea of a "trailer", I'm not sure. I've seen how a story on FanFiction gets updated after a long wait, reader gets hopes up, only to discover that the "new chapter" is really some author's note or a brief preview or something. That feeling of false hope can really suuuuuuck... Hmmmmmm.... Maybe if you write up a "trailer" but just post it here on DeviantArt??? I mean, if I followed you here from FanFiction, others may have too. Right? Might have to think about this. Don't get me wrong, though. I like the idea of a sneak peek. It's the execution of it that I'm pondering.

Now on to those pics! First off, I'm glad you like them.

For Raven, I figured the finisher name I gave her would be the kind of thing where it's her being snide again about the whole destiny thing, turning the concept of a "Storybook Ending" into something quite painful... Opponents, especially evil ones, are "destined" to be knocked the F out if Raven has her way! XD Conversely, as you've seen already, Apple would have the "Destino" finisher. Together, it fits the pair's dynamic. One's scoffing at Destiny, the other still believes in it.

Knew you'd love Maddie. And that's an excellent quip for her to use! Can definitely see that happen.

Wolf Training? Not sure, but I think the window glare in the Cerise pic caused a misunderstanding. The finisher name is supposed to be "Wolf Tamer". I figured it might let the unaware think that, as the new Red Riding Hood, she'd be the one to get the upper hand on wolves. But those that know the REAL Cerise, such as her fellow Ingobernables, would figure that it means she would be the 'alpha wolf' of most packs. Not ALL packs, since there is the matter of Clawdeen, the Omnitrix Club's Underboss and resident alpha wolf! XD

Ah, WOLF Skull! Of course! Man, why didn't I think of that??? (facepalms) Was so focused on parodying Sanada's "Cold Skull" nickname as closely as possible that I ended up only trying to figure out "fitting words that rhymed with Cold"....

Yeah, I suppose Courtly's finisher name could be better... And yeah, I agree that "The Punch Line" seems a little too on-the-nose cliche there. Direct and fitting, but cliche. Hmm... But I suppose if it ain't broke...

Man, can't wait to see your take on Courtly Majima! If you think this idea is getting better and better now, just wait til ya actually play (or watch some playthrough videos of) the Yakuza games. Majima is just an all-around epic psycho-type character and OUAT's Courtly, at least while she's a villain, would be just the perfect person to portray an accurate, insane imitation of him. If you ever get a good flow of writing fight scenes without getting too stuck, I wonder how you'd portray Courtly Majima using Majima's fighting style... Unorthodox baseball bat usage! Lethal break-dancing! Bat-and-dagger combination attacks! Perhaps ambushing her intended victim(s) with wacky disguises! (Cop Courtly? Store Clerk Courtly? Taxi Driver Courtly? TRAFFIC CONE COURTLY?!?!)

Well, in that case, I shall patiently await your responses. Last thing I want to do is be pushier than a desperate-for-an-interview Blondie.
