Description
So this little guy (oh, who am I kidding, he's the stuff that nightmares are made of) is the brainchild of over on fanfiction about an upcoming crossover between our two main stories (links will be below for those interested), both of which star Ben 10.

Onto the facts!

Name: Xenophobe

Species: Nyxiphobian

Homeworld: Yeldir Ttocs Omega

Powers/abilities: Xenophobe possesses limited mind-reading capabilities that allow him to read his opponent's mind and emulate their worst fear, in part due to a series of small opening beneath his ribs that release a gas that affects the victim's mind into portraying Xenophobe as their worst fear.

Being full on predators, Nyxiphobians have incredible sharp, needle-like teeth and scythe-like claws that they use to tear open prey that has been paralyzed with fear by their phobia-inducing abilities.

Xenophobe is quite fast and agile.

Nyxiphobians can see in different color spectrum than that of other extraterrestrial species, allowing them to see a myriad of colors that most don't even know exist. This super-vision also grants them heat signature reading abilities that allow them to relentlessly pursue and track down prey, as well as to see the near invisible bio-luminescence that their bodies give off; these can be turned on and shut off at will and provide as a means of communication between pack mates.

Weaknesses: Xenophobe is quite physically weak and risks being mortally wounded every time he enters combat. A human could break his bones with a well aimed punch, making him only suited for assassination tactics where he can avoid severe injury.

Despite his incredible eyesight, Xenophobe's other senses of smell and hearing are strangely dull. He will occasionally mishear or be oblivious of anything said in his direction, sometimes requiring for one to yell at him in order to be heard.

The smell of large amounts of blood drive Nyxiphobians into a feeding frenzy in which they may very well accidentally slay their own allies in their mad rush to eat and consume as much food as possible, regardless of whether it is the source of bleeding or not.

Etymology: Xenophobe's name derives from the words "Xeno", which means "alien", and "Phobia", which comes from "Phobos", the Greek god of fear. Put together, Xenophobe's name roughly translates to "alien fear".

Trivia: Xenophobe bears a striking resemblance to the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise.

The species name derives from the words "phobia" and "Nyx", the later of which references the Greek Goddess of Night.

The Nyxiphobian homeworld is Scott Ridley spelled backwards, the director of the Alien franchise.

Yeldir Ttocs Omega is a near barren, chaotic shell of its former self. Intense climate changes and volcanic activity transformed from a once lush oasis in an otherwise barren arm of the Milky Way Galaxy into a freezing wasteland from which little life could be supported. With volanic ash almost permanently residing in the atmosphere and blocking out Yeldir Ttocs Omega's star's rays, nearly all plant withered and went extinct, save for a few species of lichen and algae-like organisms. Nyxiphobians were quick to adapt to their new environment and emerged at the top of the food chain, becoming ruthless and savage predators whose near constant thought is only to consume and survive by any means possible, even if that means cannibalism of the weak and old. It is only through the wrecked remains of spacecraft that Nyxiphobians are even aware of life outside of their forsaken world and they hunger and lust for the day that they may be free of their homeworld's chains to wreck havoc on an unsuspecting galaxy, longing to "sample" the many species that reside out among the stars.

Nyxiphobians live in large, hive-like communities with a single, asexual member acting as both a King and Queen. These are generally enormous and nearly a hundred times the average Nyxiphobians size - roughly the size of an Arachnichimp - whose sole purpose is to constantly reproduce and command the hive as a whole.
