This Pokemon eye collection isn't really a tutorial, mainly because Pokemon eyes are really easy to draw.So instead I made a chart of the different eyes that appear on characters in the Pokemon anime series.
Gosh, after looking through all the Pokesho icons (my visual trainer reference) I realized that not only does anime have many different styles but Pokemon itself has dozens.
This chart is great if you need reference to eyes or to make your own characters. Sorry, no Pokemon creature eyes. And from what I see, this chart may be the first Pokemon character eye collection that's on deviantart.
I've got the eyes of Ash, Misy, May, Hikari, Jessie, Shinji/Lance, Shirona and many more, and in closed modes too. And let's not forget Brock even though his eyes are super easy to draw.
btw, tip, the smaller the eye, the higher on the face you place it. I learned this through my drawing experience with Shinji
Maybe I'll do a face tutorial next.
I forgot to add that there are two main pupils in the Pokemon character eye design. One has a linear middle (I'm bad at descriptions) and the other is a simple long dot/fat line

Yeah, only the humans. There are a LOT more eyes for the Pokemon. You've got your Pikachu eyes, your simple dot eyes and it goes oooon!

Hey for some of us they are hard to draw I'm used to drawing square, rectangle, even round eyes but the ovals that make up the poke-eyes just boggles my mind and I have no clue why...Anyway thanks very much for the reference now I can make my OCs come to life hopefully and yes a face tutorial would be most helpful!!!
