Description
Believe it or not that's only 220 vertices. Normal maps are magical! Earlier today i realized i didn't know much about normal maps, so i decided to learn.i started off with looking up what the colors meant, and how 3d software interprets them. After learning that, i looked up how to genetate normal maps in blender. Eventually i decided to apply what i learned.
After failing miserably at making a high poly vhs tape to generate normals from i decided i would try to draw the normals myself. a few hours later this is what i have. All the normal maps for this were hand made, by me, in paint.
(I tried using crazybump but it wasn't getting the pixel perfect level of detail i needed)
