I created 2 of these re-cornered templates out of pre-existing fan art from a couple of friends of mine. The Optimus Prime art was never posted so I don't have a link for that source material but the one for ROM comes from here www.deviantart.com/nikoskap/ar…Now the Micronauts were done from my own source material as here in my gallery

creative fan art with an 80s theme is almost always my goal. the ROM related fan art that turns up is almost always about as un-creative as you can get and usually not skillfully rendered. the only other good stuff lately is from nikoskap who i collaborate with on a pretty regular basis these days. by the way i assume you saw Bumblebee?

funny you should mention that a couple days ago i came across some fan art on farcebook of ROM partially enveloped in the Venom symbiote. there's also another fan art piece there of ROM and Spider-Man battling dire wraith/Venom symbiote.

woulda been so kool spidey teaming up with ROM to defeat a wraith/symbiote hybrid.... i guess spidey spider senses would work as this symbiote wouldn't have been part of the venom symbiote who merged with peter in early issues/secret war.

the funny thing is the Optimus Prime one i did 6 or 7 years ago but the artist who i got the source material from didn't want me to post it. he liked sharing his work with his friends directly but was really picky about posting stuff publicly. a couple days ago he all of a sudden said he'd be cool with me posting it, go figure. but i'm just glad it's finally out there. Art skills are like super powers. they're not a privilege, they're a gift to be used for the good of all man kind (and woman kind to).
