Imperator Caesar Divi filius Augustus, Pontifex Maximus, Co(n)s(ul) XIII, Imp(erator) XXI, Trib(uniciae) pot(estatis) XXXVII, P(ater) p(atriae) (more infos here: [link] )Yay. another roman emperor! And I hope you all know him. o.O Beause he was the first of them and very famous.
Yesterday I saw this photo of his bust online [link] and though "omg what a handsome man!". I really had to draw him. Look, he is wearing a similar thing to a hood on this photo. xD Yeah, it's his toga, I know... but reminded me of a hood. Can't help myself in this point.
And I just love the hairstyle of the roman men.

Na ich finde ihn auch auf dieser Statue am schΓΆnsten, wo er seine Toga wie ein Priester ΓΌber den Kopf gezogen hat.
Warst du schon mal da? Die Statuen sind nicht mal ausgeschildert.
So stelle ich mir Augustus jedenfalls auch vor ... es muss ja einen Grund geben, warum er so viele Fans hatte. Den rΓΆmischen Haarschnitt finde ich auch klasse - WENN sie denn genug Haare hatten. *g*

ja, das stellt ihn als pontifex maximus dar, was ihn gleich noch attraktiver macht. priester... du weiΓt schon.
und in rom war ich leider noch nicht (ok, eimal, da war ich 3). ich war zwar vor ein paar jahren in ravenna, aber konnte weder ins vatikanische museum, noch in die uffizien einen ausflug machen. ;_;
