Description
Have another ridiculously long narrative of "how to do it Curious way"just thought of gathering some tips of how I work with lineart.
Of the shift and the stroke parts - I really don't know if they work with any other programs than PS. You can try.
.. and also if you have any suggestions for more tutorials you think I should make
feel free to poke me with them ^^
Rody, Piper, Raze and Kron thanks for the help!

They should work basically with any program if you have a drawing tablet to use :3
The stroke-tool though can only be found in Photoshop and I'm not sure if all programs support canvas rotation - but SAI surely does.
If you're relying on free programs, I also suggest trying Krita
and seeking next Clip Studio - sale, they are both great programs.

Thank you so much for telling me about Krita. It looks very similar to photoshop and I've worked with Photoshop before. So I already feel comfortable with it!!

It has some slight differences, but of the free programs out there I think it's the best

This is absolutely fantastic! You always have these great tutorials but this one is super helpful and very well-explained. Lineart is my biggest weakness so it's always great to get some pointers on how to make smoother lines and such. Thank you so much for this.

CuriousCucumber In reply to PumpkinaChai [2014-01-19 10:04:23 +0000 UTC]
Thank you it was a pleasure making it! I think there are just too many lineart-tutorials that are just "draw fast and so" without really explaining it!
when one knows the basics it's easier to get going!
Your lines are already so nice - but I'm eager to see where you'll get with a little practice!

Once again Irish is giving us amazing art tips. You go woman!
It's almost practically the same I do with my own lineart - only I love using much more thinner lines because I don't know, I just do XD

heheee teacher over here! I'm good at tips ;D
I like thin lines too but in PS I've found out that 3-4px is the best for pen pressure

Very nice, Irish !!! I will remember this when I use my Wacom Tablet. Question? What type of Photoshop Program do you use? I downloaded a 30 day trail with Photoshop Lightroom 5 and i can't seem to draw anything on it. I'm guessing it only helps with lightness and darkness (emphasis on "Lightroom") Thanks for the Totorials, Irish! Awesome as always!!

I have PS Cs5 yet all the photoshops work pretty much the same way
lightroom is for photographers as PS is more for photoediting and art
