XD have you read OHOS? Oh my god! It is so good! I keep rereading it because of the feels I get. I think chapter 13 or 14 was made on the day I got sick with the stomach bug.

I've read the fic this is based off of. 'One Human, One Spark'. It started as a one-shot, but grew to a multi-chaptered story. if you haven't read it, do so.

There is such beauty to this. You really feel the sadness of Jackie and Miko and how much they miss their friend.

Personally I wish she'd been squished by Starscream and Jack got the Armour instead of her--she sort of started to redeem herself at some point way earlier, but she was so stupid she nearly got everyone killed several times, and utterly horrid to Bulkhead when he was injured that I just gave up on the character and pretty much everything she did from there onwards just irritated me...

So I'm guessing you like Miko. Tell me, what is it about the character that appeals to you?

I mean, to me she's an irresponsible, immature, rather selfish and brainless person. She has some moments of selflessness and one-or-two times she does something useful like killing , but most of what she did was either inconsequential, annoying, suicidal or (at worst) nearly getting others killed.

Well, it set up an awesome story!

Yup. I do. I actually didn't like her that much in the beginning. It was more like a, "eh, she's pretty funny" but it wasn't until I started writing her character that I began to like her a whole bunch.

Miko is.... she reminds me of me when I was younger, for one. I was brainless, crazy, immature, but I mean, if I met giant alien robots nowadays, I'd be freaking out about how cool they were too! In truth, her being wild and a tad stupid is WHAT I like about her. I mean, it's because they've delicately balanced between mature with Jack, cute and smart with Raf, and wild and fun with Miko. She walks to the beat of her own drum. She's rebellious. I like that they gave kids someone to relate to if they weren't perfect kids like Jack and Raf (well, disregarding a couple of Jack's absolutely brainless moments)

What I also like about her is how easy she was to expand upon. She grew a lot in the series. After Hardshell? She only snuck out.... once, with Wheeljack, and it was basically a recon mission anyways: grab a bone. Besides, we've seen Optimus and the bots appreciating Jack and Raf's contributions to the team, but all along Miko was also just kinda swept under the rug as stupid, annoying, loud, getting in trouble, because she couldn't find her own niche to be a part of. So when Wheeljack said she was a Wrecker, that meant a hella lot to her (dude, her FACE when Wheeljack defended her from Magnus). OH. The killing. I actually had an issue with that. I thought they crossed a line letting a human child kill, though I have to admit I was happy when Hardshell bit the dust.

*still talking* Okay, well, in general, I liked how feisty she was, her heart, interesting taste in music, thought she was really unique, and wasn't the same cut-and-dry girl they want to give us (though Sari was awesome) and her relationship with Bulkhead was PRECIOUS. They were like dad and daughter. Anyways, in my fanfic I elaborate a lot more on Miko's character was well as others. Gave people backgrounds, emotional twists, characters have their ups and downs, relationships have their fights, and I upped the rating to T since I got some mature themes like drinking, Asian heritage, relationships, and revenge and killing and crap. I think it might be worth a try, though I warn you, I really do keep true to Miko's character. She does some pretty damn stupid stuff even when there's a lot of good moments too.

And... well, I guess we don't really disagree on any points, I suppose it's just a case where the very thing that pushes me away from liking Miko is the same thing that draws you to her. That's actually pretty interesting.

I'm guessing your fic is writing rather than image-based? Well, sorry to say, I have a major difficulty with reading comprehension--dyspraxia, wherein at some point the words get muddled up and stop being intelligible, it all turns into gobbldy-gook. It depends on the volume of text (I rather struggled through the paragraphs you wrote here ). If it were in comic form that's oddly better.

Oh I tend to like characters with flaws too, Farscape is one of my favourite shows and there's not a single 'clean' character there It's just I find Miko annoying, sorry

I may be able to sit through it if I ever manage to get this text-read-aloud software to work on my mac. Once I do, I look forward to your story ^_^

Heh, I'm basically using this as a cover photo for my fic "One Human, One Spark" and I, um..... killed Bulkhead in the first chapter So Wheeljack has to become her new guardian. That's why she's sad (if anyone's wondering)
