I started this awhile back, and since I've been meaning to get some coloring, background, and pose practice in I decided to finish it today. I experimented with pretty much every aspect of this picture. I started with a square canvas, I tried some pose/perspective, I used really thin lineart, I colored completely in greyscale then added color, and I actually attempted a half-decent background. XDOverall I'm pretty happy with this.
I needed to do some Howl's Moving Castle fanart. I love that movie man.

I haven't read the book. I first watched the movie a couple years ago and absolutely loved it. And when I found out it was based on a book I've been wanting to read it. ;o;

i'm going to have to watch this movie again. while i love every ghibli movie for the most part, i only remember the dreamy beautiful characters and not really much of the story!
