It was like a cool breeze on a crisp night, somehow making him more aware of the space around him as though he were in a vast, open plain. Hoshinova felt that Shadow's heart was tethered to the stars and, like herself, had been cast down to the world of mortals in an act of untold cruelty. There was a sad, quiet moment where the two of them looked inward and saw glimpses of the other's memories, knowing that they had no time to share in their suffering - nor would it do them any good.

Their falls had led them to things worth protecting, and now it was time to pierce the endless darkness as a spear of moonlight, so that those things might still yet shine.

NOVA SHADOW

Holograph Debut:
Sonic Holograph: Episode Shadow -STARDUST SONG-

Nova Shadow is the result of the Lunar Goddess Hoshinova occupying the body of the Ultimate Lifeform and granting him access to her divine lunar magic. Due to Shadow's immortal and genetically enhanced body, as well as being a powerful fighter, he's able to take on this form where Moona would undoubtedly be put at risk from the density of magic power being exerted, this grants him several abilities derived from associations with the moon: Projection of raw bolts of magic, beams of moonlight and the manipulation of gravity are all possible.

After the battle on the moon, Shadow sends Pekora and Astel to take Iofi back to the safety of the Moonrabbit, where they, the rest of the crew and Sana hold off the Planet-Eater while Shadow returns to where Hoshinova is waiting. By using the Nova Talisman as an inbetween receptacle to house Hoshinova, she is able to transfer herself from Moona to Shadow and let her magic flow, transforming him into Nova Shadow. He appears on the scene just in the nick of time, rescuing the MoonRabbit and having Sana warp him and the Planet-Eater to the far corner of the universe - that they may have their final battle in isolation.

Trivia:
- Since Hoshinova is present as part of Nova Shadow, she could theoretically control his body much like she can with Moona. Thankfully, she didn't try this during the fight with the Planet-Eater.

- Nova Shadow is of course still capable of wielding Chaos Energy and can combine it with magic, his 'Nova Chaos Control' combines the spatial warping abilities of Chaos Control with the gravitational force of the moon. As Yatagarasu, the God of the Sun, is said to be capable of granting wishes, perhaps Shadow was also granting a 'wish' to see the universe return to it's peaceful state...?
