for the blue i used midnight blue and regal blue, with a bit of white/regal blue mix for highlights, but also using asureman blue wash as well

ah i see it explains why it's slightly lighter than my mix of regal blue to chaos black (2:1) thanks for that anyway I got most of my marine's today and i'll probably try that mix out, once again thanks!

i follow this procedure
step 1: mix 50% brazen brass + 50% shining gold.
step 2: highlight with shining gold
step 3: apply a wash of 70% Devlin Mud wash + 20% Badab
Black wash and 10% water.
step 4: highlight with a mix of 70% Burnished Gold + 30%
Mithrel Silver.
Result: a good gold colour!!

The base was pretty easy to do, the part of the imperial eagle came with the model, all the rest is slate and brass etch found in the Citadel minitures basing kit.
