Your tutorials have been very helpful for me since I just got a premium membership but when I tried putting a deviation in a custom box with the background (in other words, this tutorial) it only showed a small border of the background image and that was it. It didn't show the deviation, just the top border of the background image. How would I fix this?

Are you inserting the links in the code properly as indicated in the tut?

Hey there my friend, your tuts have come very much in handy for so many users.
I have a question..I have a custom box with thumbs of my premade custom box backgrounds, May I include a link to this tut on a button stating "tutorial here"
I think it would help users that do not know how to do it but want to.

My browser doesn't have the Copy Link Location or the Copy Image Location. What do I do?

CypherVisor In reply to bearhugbooyah [2013-07-16 05:17:40 +0000 UTC]
Different browsers have different context-menu for the same thing. For example, chrome says "Copy link address" for "Copy link location" in firefox.

I've used this tutorial before, and had no problems with it. But this time, instead of using an image for the devitation box, I want to use a literature piece. The only problem is is that I can not get an image link of the literature. Or, at least I don't know how to.
Thank you so much~!!

Oh well, it is little different to use a literature as a deviation there.
Try to put the lit code by replacing this part of the code:

So sorry DX

Hey there, this is so useful! So far I've enjoying all of your tutorials, they're just amazing. Great work!
I was wondering however, have you figured how to apply a background into the "newest deviations" widget? With all the little thumbnails and such
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
CypherVisor In reply to Enharmonia [2013-07-05 10:50:32 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. I am glad that you like it!
And for the newest deviation box you can use this same code. However, you can use it when you are setting it to display only one deviation. (though there is a way to get 4 or 6 or more deviations in the box which I can't explain here) Also, since your are manually customizing the box, it can't change the deviations automatically when you upload a new one. I hope you get it!

Every time I do it, it makes my picture small and the description stretch across the whole custom box o.o

I understand. You should get the deviation image URL when its not in the editing mode...

CypherVisor In reply to Alkraas [2013-06-25 05:34:12 +0000 UTC]
Is it a button that you have inserted by yourself? If yes, then just insert
tags before the button code to push it down the box.

Alkraas In reply to CypherVisor [2013-06-25 12:48:14 +0000 UTC]
Nah, it is the "offical" dA button XD
And I already tried the < br > code
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
CypherVisor In reply to Alkraas [2013-06-25 18:38:50 +0000 UTC]
Well, then what you can do is that go to edit mode of the box and select huge thumbnail as the deviation view (if it is not selected) and save it. It should push the button down now. If it is already selected to huge thumbnail then I am afraid you need to make the deviation smaller.
