I am not sure what are you doing. Codes are mixed up in yours I suppose.
may be you can show me the code that you are using and I can give it a quick peek when I get time.

Just wondering - is it possible to get a background image behind a deviation slideshow like you're able to do in custom boxes? Somehow I managed to put a background in the box, but it blocks the slideshow!

Nah (at least not yet). I'll surely share once I get a workaround to that.

It's some bit of hope that a background functions at all, even if it floats over the slideshow! Thanks

Hi, hoping you can help me. I m trying to put a background texture on a deviation box, with a content holder box under the thumb image for the description. This worked fine for an image, but now I want to try it for a literature thumb.
The problem is, the thumb becomes transparent and the text sits directly onto the background (no white behind it) so it is hard to read. If I specify a literature thumb then it adds it in fine, but also hovers the other text over the top, so I wind up with two layers of text that don't line up.
Is there another way around this?

I have to check it for literature thumbs. This has been asked by some other people as well.

I actually found a way to make this work if you're interested. I used the Gallery Folder widget and changed it to display most recent 2 deviations, then used the same code snippet that is used for the featured deviation widget, but replaced the img src part with the 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

But I was wondering, is there a way to edit the sit-back widgets so the thing still plays, but there is a custom background?

I've had a look around but I can't find a tutorial on how to do similar as this, but using the thumbs of your latest four uploads. Basically something that can replace the 'newest deviations' box so I can have my custom background behind it. Do you know of any tuts that I can use please?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
CypherVisor In reply to mereni [2013-08-06 15:21:11 +0000 UTC]
Well, it won't work with your newest deviation widget because the deviation will not be dynamically changing with your new uploads. You need to manually edit the code every time you upload a new deviation. I do not think there is a possible solution to this. I'll try and give a look at it once again though.

Hiya!
basically it worked for me, but I just couldn't make the deviation resize proportionally when the browser got smaller (aka with different resolutions like on a tablet). The image gets cut-off when the deviation container gets smaller than the image itself. I tried width="100%" but then the image got cut-off in it's hight when the browser was too big, because after a cetain point the dA container still gets wider but not higher, meaning the image gets bigger and bigger because of the 100% width but the bottom gets cut off because the container won't get taller propoertionally. Is there by any chance a solution for this problem?

unfortunatelly I haven't figured it out. seems like I need to be able to get access to the hight and width of the surrounding container, but I'm not even sure if that's possible/allowed. perhaps I'll try to find a workaround sometime.

This a question asked by many. Yes, there is a way but it is slightly complex for me to put in a simplified way in a tutorial. I'll try and post a tut for that.
