All images are property of Square.Even though we haven't gotten the DLC for FF4 yet, I decided to go ahead and make this anyway. Why?
Because I found out a while back that EVERY CHARACTER will be getting DLC costumes.
THUS, I'm gonna have to go back and update the ones I've already made later on, anyway. So there's no harm in working ahead, right?
PS. Next DF ep is in development.

Man! Golbez Man In Black design is cool, Kain design is just cool, and Cecil 2nd alt is cool, still I prefer your design for Holy dragoon Kain.

I thought they said at the beginning that not every character was getting a DLC alt? Damn them and their lies . . .
Wait . . . Dark Kain appeared when Kain failed his Trial, but rejoined with Kain when he was defeated, leaving Kain to become a Holy Dragoon in The After Years, seventeen years later, correct?
What was Kain doing for those seventeen years?

Training on Mt. Ordeals. But when the spirit of Kluya sensed that a crisis was about to occur, he summoned Kain to the trial chamber and created Dark Kain, giving him reason to leave, and guiding him to Cecil.
As for the DLC stuff, no, they never said that. They said that FF7 was the only game getting getting an Assist-only character. (Aerith)

Still . . . seventeen years is a LONG time to train. I mean, if we look at the time frame in a realistic manner, I would guess that Cecil went through his Trial in about an hour or so.
Then again, Kain is not Cecil, and their are more variables to this, such as his personal mindset, while Cecil seemed confident, Kain would likely not have been so, which might have affected how the Trial itself went, and how long he spent to prepare for it.
And we also don't know how long before the game was Kain's Trial, so he would have spent time trying to fix that problem.
Or, am I just over-thinking?

I can't speak for anyone else but that was actually my biggest problem with The After Years. I mean... seventeen years? Really? :/

I assumed several years had passed since he failed the trial by the start of the game, since he says to Ceodore during their first meeting "I abandoned [my name] long ago..." ...and "long ago" usually implies a substantial period of time.

i like Cecil's new Dark Knight look best but for Paladin i hate the hair but love the armor so pretty much the armor from the new alt with default's hair.
like the alt better than the default but i also love his new alt.
i like his alt costume but his purple exmode is best. i find it funny how in his default his hair appears purple turning to white but every other costume has him with blonde hair.

I'm surprised the US is getting these alts seeing that technically we never got the After Years. Or did we? We miss out on a lot of the extra stuff.

Still kinda wise they would of included Golbez's sword...I mean Cecil has a weapon on him that he never uses, why not his brother, but every character is getting DLC costumes? Sweet
