Now, I have a lot o work - half day I'm in my job; half day I must carry on a baby dragon! Now, I don't have so much free time as few months ago, so you have to be patient a wait a little bit longer for next parts of my picture-story. But finaly I have finisched this one - How to tame a baby dragon.
When Toother has hatch out, he was very scared. Of course, I could not resist to try to make this "trick" from move - to reach forth my heand a touch tenderly a dragons head. And this little bastard has tried to bit me! You see, how nervous at that moment he was? I decide to treat him as a dog - I gave him my open heand to smell and next I tried to pet his paw. At first, Toother was a little mistrustful, but I was patient and at third time I finly touched his forepaw. What surprised me, his skin was very soft and tender. It doesen't look like reptile's skin - maby more like tourtle's skin, but definitely not like lizar's or snake's skin. He hasn't scales - on legs and on head Toother has a scutes.
Toother is just lovely - I can't wait to show you more of our adventures.

A ten mały drań chciał mnie ugryźć!

Cesar Millan by nie ogarnął!

Oh... don't be so cruel for yourself. "Desiderata" says: If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. So, be proud for this what you have made and always try to make somethig better than this.

4 months ago I have found a black egg in forest, in Tyniec, near my city, Kraków. On 6th of July from that egg has hatched out a littl dragon - I call him Toother, because of his retractable teeth. Now he has almost 3 months and he give me an unspoken happiness. He is a lovely, but very frisky reptile, and he is not like casual reptiles. Every day I learn a lot of extraordinary things abiut my little friend Toother. And I will tell you all about them soon.

I have sources that confirm that they do hatch from eggs. Can you provide a reliable source that they do not hatch from eggs?

Give me a source of that information, please. In my experience, most of dragons are a oviparous animals but some species are ovo-viviparous. A lot of dinosaurs were a viviparous, like seahorses - that's why they extinct: in hard times at the end of Crateceous viviparous dinosaurs have problems with protecting and feeding their babys. Eggs were a better solution at that time. More primitiv reptiles have survived - like tourtles, crocodiles and small lizard-like reptiles belong to order Avicephala - present dragons ancestors. My information source - E. Drake "Dragonology", 1896 ; B. Heuvelmans "On the track of unknown animals", 1955 ; M. Kozlov "On dragons and ghosts" 1766. And many more, which names I don't remember.

What? How did you know that? But OK, Toother is not from this same species as Toothless, so... They both belong to Occidentalie genus (western dragons), subgenus - Nocturnae (nocturnal dragons), but I'm not sure are they a different dragon species or only different Night Fury's subspecies.

aaawww, he's so adorable, and so tiny! how old is he? and has he started breathing fire yet?

Now, he has 2,5 month. He has hatched out at July 6th. And I hope, he would not breathe fire - it's very awkward to keep at home a pet who is arsonist. Dragons can breathe fire thanks to microbes that lives in their stomach, which produce flammable gas - methane. Young dragon get this bacteria culture with semi-digested food vomited by mother. And so, I think that littl Toother perhaps would never breatha fire. And that, maybe could be better for him.

oooh, poor toother... anyways, i found this once off the internet and thought it was uselful (seriously surprised how the guy managed to do this), it's a somewhat anatomy of night furies, it was never completed though (bummer ) captaincuttlefish.deviantart.c…, it's called the nova project, could be useful

I know Captaincuttlefish's works very well. Piece of good, profesional artwork. It's sad that ProjectNova has been died while after birth, but I believe that oncoming premiere of "How to train your dragon 2" will revive it. But I won't wait so long - I read a lot about dinosaur's and other reptiles anatomy and of course I'm closely observe Toother: how he is moving, how look's like his skeleton and muscels. Mabey I will make an Atlas of night Fury's anatomy. We will see...
