i don't usually vent art, but when I do I do it with everything I have. Truth is, I'm incredibly depressed as of recent. I honestly feel like my life is going nowhere, I'm being passed by, and that I'm not worth anything. but this serves a note to future Danny looking back at his work in the event he gets in this spot again:
Even though you don't have a degree yet from an amazing school, you are not untalented
Even though you don't have the resources to do 3D animation, you can still animate.
Even though your friends and people you know are getting job offers, interviews, and opportunities to shine, it does not mean you won't get your chance someday.
People still respect you even if you don't draw much fan art anymore.
People still appreciate you even if it seems like you've lost most of your support
You're not worthless.
now only if i could listen to my own words...

dan love how you made this im looking to become and animation artist myself i would really like to know how you did this from scratch not every detail but how made it and what programs you used if you can do and i understand how you feel when working so hard towards your goal only to be shunned sometimes but i dont let it bother me and i know it doesn't bug ya too anyway enough with my rambling i also like some tips on anatomy is you can thanks again

I'm experiencing this feeling right now, and just thinking about it afraids me a lot and I don't find the will to go on with my drawings, which are really important for my future. But yay, as you wrote it we're not worthless, and this animation gives me the strength, somehow, to keep on going. I hope it's your case, or that something else does it. I waybe won't be a regular watcher but for now I give you my support, even if this can seem meaningless ^^'

Dan,I can surely tell you this,you have to be one of the definitely one of the best artists I have encountered on the few years I've been on this site and I gotta say with every pic (and or animation) you make strikes me with awe and wonder each and every time you make something new and different you never cease to amaze us,not...one...bit,your art is absolutely unique and downright epic all at the same time and it's kinda strange that no one has approached you but they oughta see your art because they oughta see how much talent you have in you and I think they would be pretty surprised and stunned to see what you've came up with but sooner or later you'll see that spark of light shining down on you and that golden opportunity will be yours eventually,like I said before,you have so SO MUCH potential and talent in you that I'm sure you'll be able to make it soon as an amazing 3D artist for whatever company/occupation you desire and I can feel you'll get there soon with patience and focus. You have a very special gift,Dan,never let it go to waste and also as far as this "vent" art goes,I gotta say for a vent pic,it's pretty downright gorgeous,I mean I really love the detailing and the smooth motion of the leaves in the foreground,Syron's pose looks pretty dynamic and amazing and the rain effects and the sunset in the background looks all magnificent in their own way,I'm also diggin' the song too

I don't know what to say that hasn't been said. But you just need to keep moving forward. Eventually you'll find where you're going, and you'll be so glad you didn't give up. I'm on the verge of giving up myself, but I love seeing your art every time it comes up. You inspire me to keep going, even when the path is lost.
I hope that you find your path, and just know you are worth everything to those of us who love your art. Keep fighting, because someday your chance will come, and everything will feel worth it.

Now by this do you mean you can't afford the programs with which to do these animations, or do you mean your computer isn't capable of rendering these animations? Because if it's the former there's always Blender. It's not the greatest program in the world, but it's something to get started with, be it animating or the actual modeling itself.

Bullshit Dan! Dude between the comic, art, and your animation skills, you have extream potentional to go out there and bring these characters you make more to life! For this nimation, I've seen many anthro animators try their hand it something like this, but none ever really are that impressive and put this much effeort into the art and movement of everything! Keep going at it Dan, and don't let yourself or anyone tell you to do something different.

Don't feel like you're worthless. It may not happen so soon but I can assure you that your life will go somewhere because you ARE an amazing artist.
In fact; I'm making you Fan-Art because of that. You are a cool animator too. I don't know a whole lot of people who can animate but let me tell you that you are the top one I've ever seen.

Holy... this just blew my mind. The details put into Syron's regular and Hylex crystals look beautiful, and WOW that background. The changes on perspective from the leaf in the front, to Syron himself, are wonderful looking! Darn it, I have no idea how you can make such amazing art.
As far as life goes, there's not much I can say except life only gets better, even though it's hard to believe. We're here for you whenever you're down, Dan.

You had better be friggin proud of this right here Dan. There is a fraction of a percentage of people would even consider going to this much effort for a single motion piece of art, much less a "vent art" of all things. Heck, I took a look at your early gallery, back when your stuff looked like any other Sonic fan artist. You realize in 2 year's time, you've skyrocketed from the banal, to to a profound visionary? Heck, even in Syron alone, we see this gradual evolution from a childish fad, to a vivid and firm reason to exist.
I've already struggled as to how you're even able to perceive such minute details when it comes to color, rendering, and even subtle gestures often overlooked by others. Even moreso that you're able to incorporate all those concepts into one water-tight conglomerate of mastery! Most people just throw it all together with no regard as to why certain techniques and effects should even work. You're one of the few that value balance as a concept in of itself, and dangit, we need more people to realize this!
From a spiritual stance, this was perhaps the best way you could have expressed all this. Most people seek pity and remorse in raw and cryptic forms, only gaining unfulfilled attention as a result. This actually takes thought, and reveals a perspective that can't be realized amidst the clamor of facebook tweets, sympathizers and antagonists. I've struggled with the same, single and a pathetic resume' at the startling age of 25. It's only now that not just me, but my family are realizing that the world's tropes are changing to the next generation, and the old is not willing to let go.
You may have not succeeded as soon as you wanted to Dan. In all honesty, I don't think anyone has, or even in the way they wanted to. However, the present never produces an absolute and unchangeable future, a fact too many people are quick to forget. Your time will come, but until then, be ready. The world we live in certainly isn't, and that's why we'll rise.

Degrees are nothing but a stamp on a paper x) there are some good schools of course but, particularly in the Art field it really is your personal investment and determination that will make a difference.
That said, t'is a good work! Liking the ambiance and the play with the depth of field.

i do know the feeling (even having a degree doesn't guarantee you success, believe me), it can be hard to stay optimistic when you feel like your own passion isn't getting you anywhere, but doing something that you love is never worthless.
for what it's worth, know you're not alone. keep doing your thing friend; you've worked hard to get to where you are, even if its not quite where you want to be yet.

I'm currently feeling quite depressed about similar matters of late. So I guess I connected with this more than I should have normally.
But yeah, you need to listen to your own words man. This was really incredibly impressive. I'm glad to know everything went (relatively)okay as far as the fire is concerned.
You'll always have followers/admirers Dan. I promise it. Those who are under you in skill may one day pass you, but you can look at them and smile. Knowing that you've inspired future greatness.
Those who you've admired and moved on, you can still follow to admire, because you'll continue to grow. And they've managed to change you as a person, for the better, because you had something to look up to.
I know you're struggling and feeling like you're moving nowhere, and my words mean little when I say you seem to be getting even more amazing with every piece you present to us. And I'm sure you will. But maybe it's time to take a step back and realize, when you're struggling to move forward, it might be worth turning around and looking back at those that you're inspiring, and the ones that look up to you. Seeing them flourish under your influence should surely brighten your spirits. And hopefully bring you back onto track.
