Description No reason to feel bad that we chose him over you. It’s nothing personal, Oswald. Ozzy just wehs real good.
---

So the joke here is for the RP between FlytrapDog and myself, we went with The Batman!version of the character over BTAS version, despite the fact they're both great in their own ways. Just... one is a trash goblin, and makes for better comedy. Sorry Oswald!

Penguin really is one of those characters who can be interpreted in almost any way and still feel natural. The Paul Williams, Tom Kenny, Burgess Meredith, Danny DeVito, and Robin Lord Taylor versions are all a study in contrasts and yet are still recognizable as the same classic character. Here's hoping Colin Farrell gives us another great interpretation in 2 years!

He was literally the funniest character on the show-- how could you NOT love him? I mean, I get it if you prefer seeing a character a certain way-- there are many Batman characters that I get very particular about with how they're portrayed. BUT... Tom Kenny's performance, mixed with having him be a foil to Bruce Wayne, makes him really interesting. Heck, having him actually be able to go hand to hand with Batman is pretty neat as well. There is a freshness to this take that feels like its taking the Danny Devito type of Penguin, and just expanding it for comedy a bit more. And I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Actually, the Batman's Penguin was pretty funny, more than the Joker, especially in the "Laughing Batman"

I agree. Though, personally, I think most of my favorite Penguin moments ended up happening in 'The Batman Vs Dracula'. Although, I did really like him in 'The Cat, the Bat, and the Very Ugly' and ' Team Penguin'. In any case, I find him hilarious and was the reason I watched the show back in 2004. Penguin's characterization was the best aspect of the show.

The show was very good. It has good stories, humor, but some people just critize it because "it looks like Jackie Chan" (BTW, The Adventure of Jackie Chan were very good also)

That's a silly complaint to have, especially considering I also enjoyed 'Jackie Chan Adventures'. 'The Batman' could have some very hit 'n miss ideas, but I applaud the show for trying to think a bit outside the box.

I can't agree more with you. Yes, I think it was the first time soembody "think outside the box" with Batman, since Timm and Dini's work somehow continue having that dark atmosphere that Burton movies had,
