Here's a preview for the flash character ref template.
Make note that this is JUST A PREVIEW
I'll upload the actual .fla file for you guys to download plus some instructions and stuff after i've finished doing some last minute clean-up.
My favourite page is the 'gallery' one. I had to look up some coding (which actually turned out to be quite simple) in order to make it and now i really wished i had used it in either A.E.D's or the Hedone Higher's refs, because it's pretty damn nifty
(all of the sample pics in the gallery are random doodles and/or parts of pictures i did, which YOU WONT SEE HAHAH)
Many thanks to everyone who showed interest in something like this and so made me inclined to make one, and also to *Sanoon , ~Tanize and *NatashaMB for giving me ideas for pages!

In the "Gallery section", after the picture zoomed in, it stayed big even if my mouse isn't hovering over said image. HALP!!!

Well it shouldn't be doing that. Go into your gallery page and click on each thumbnail and make sure this code appears in the actions box when you do:
on (rollOver) {
this.gotoAndPlay(2);
this.swapDepths(1);
}
on (rollOut) {
this.gotoAndplay(7);

Ah, I think you made a typo in the original code. Shouldn't the "p" in "gotoAndplay (7)" be a capital p like the "gotoAndPlay (2)" one?

Probably XD But thanks for pointing it out, i went back to the fla and fixed it as well as actually put more states on the "your username here" button in the gallery, since i seemed to have forgotten to do that too |D

Ok i get that we are suppose to put codes into a certain place but ere is that!! eI am just special and cant figure anything out with out your help, sorry!!
And Could you explain in more detail how you put together the play button and replay button

If you press F9 in flash it will bring up the actions tab which is where all your code should be written (although i've done all the coding already so you'll simply have to do minor tweaks)
There are 4 states to a button - Up, Over, Down and Hit.
Up refers to what the button looks like when the mouse ISNT on the button, Over for when the mouse hovers over the button, Down is what happens when you click on it and Hit is the response area for mouse over.
Since i used AS2 for this thing the actionscript for buttons was pretty simple:
on(release){ //when the button is clicked
gotoAndPlay(1); // go and play keyframe 1
}

Export your flash movie as an .swf then just upload it like any regular deviation (you'll just have to have a jpg or something for a preview image)

So when you go into "submit deviation" and "add a file" it won't let you pick an swf? Or does it just take a while to load? Because if it's loading but just taking ages then it's prob cos it's a big file
Otherwise make sure it's a proper swf and not something you've just renamed to be a swf ~

well, like i said before, it won't let me select it to load..
when i am searching for the file i want to upload...i'm in the correct location on my harddrive, but it won't recognize the .swf file to upload...
and ya, it is a .swf

Yah it's not just a subscriber thing, i've seen plenty of non-subs upload their flashes.
Does it give you an error message? Or are you putting it in the right category? I really dunno aye, your problem sounds like it could be something to do on your end then with DA

i've also talked to my boyfriend about it...he said he can't upload .swf files either...so idk...
you know how you can only upload certain files...and the upload window preselects those files for you...like it says "all supported files" when browsing for the file...for some reason .swf doesn't fall into that category when i try to upload...
to me it sounds like a subscriber thing...and i haven't seen any non subscribers with flash files actually 
idk....oh well

Well they can't use this deviation because it's just a preview, i actually have to upload the raw file etc for people to use (that will come later)
Oh, and only people that have the program Macromedia (now called Adobe) Flash will be able to use it
