This is why I don't get into internet arguments. It's not worth it since 90% of the internet is made up of idiots.
Like one time, I pointed out that Penn and Teller were wrong that the scientific community is unsure about the legitimacy of anthropogenic climate change and I even cited sources I consider reputable (like CNN) and someone just called me a "stupid faggot". I decided it's not worth arguing with him since no matter what evidence I throw at him, he won't retort with any actual evidence and just call me insults. I just had a hunch.
Same for if someone insults you for having a petty difference of opinion such as saying they like the Wii version of Okami better than the PS2 version of Okami. Once again, going back to personal experience, I was told I have "a severe mental disability" for liking anything Wii-related. In other words, about 50 million people, including the leader of the free world President Obama, also apparently have this "severe mental disability" which I call "Having an opinion."
So one shouldn't argue with people who are just going to insult them instead of giving any actual counter arguments.
Also don't argue with "believers" i.e., people who aren't willing to reform their brains when they have new better evidence thrown at them. Some of these people include holocaust deniers, creationists, birthers, 9/11 truthers, and the people over at Fox News.

Yeah i wouldn't consider people who reply like that as too capable of having any form of debate with |D I mean at least if they offered their differing point of view with their own references and stuff then at least you can respect that they have their own opinions and how they came to that conclusion (even if you think they're still wrong!).

This is one of the funniest thing I've seen in a while. It's funny because mainly it's true and the sad reality of the internet. I don't understand why people have these arguments, or screaming fights in caps. And it's usually over something so stupid sometimes, and something that won't matter two second after it's over. The internet has never ceased to amaze me.

I would use some of those things in the past... because I KNEW the people who were doing it seriously HATED it! (And didn't consider their hypocrisy.)
I used to think of it as an all-purpose tool for holding the line when an entire site ganged up on me.
And then I stopped.
And then I stopped taking myself seriously.
Et cetera.
I'm not even sure I'm on topic anymore. It does get annoying when people like me, who really HAVE been diagnosed with mental disorders and don't know how to control it, are just written off as whiny emo idiots who need to "get a life."
