It used social engineering by disguising itself as an email wit the subject line "230 Dead as Storm Batters Europe." Those who clicked the .exe link in the attachment were infected without even realizing it until it was too late and spread even further through spam emails. The purpose was to create a botnet, which could be used for identity theft, DoS attacks, phishing, click fraud, and mass spreading of spam and even spyware.

This Malware Embody likes to attack large groups.
