Treasury-class high endurance cutter USCGS Taney (WEHC-37) is the last ship afloat that fought during the Battle of Pearl Harbor. Moored in Honolulu Harbor she fought attacking aircraft with her anti-aircraft guns. During the war the Navy essentially converted her into a destroyer complete with 4 5" guns and later she served as the Navy flagship for naval forces in the Okinawa campaign. After the war she served until Dec. 7, 1986 and was soon given to Baltimore as a museum ship.
