Been a while. Let's join the Freedom Fighters back where I left them several months ago...First off, I'm really sorry about the P.E.N. As we all know, P-U is 2/3rds of a pun. But we'll call it an homage to those old Sonic comics where puns abounded... or maybe AoStH which is still a running joke.
I'm also sorry that I resorted to what I call a "nifty gizmo manifestation" plot point. Really sorry.The term "Sitting Dorks" is Copyright 1999, Gargoyles and the Disney Corporation.

Well Dawn your jokes are actually very good. Heck I remember Vector saying "Oh yeah can I get a GO GATORS!!!" in Knuckles issue#28. Now that was lame.
Love the layout you did here and the nice green glowiness. Heh I'm surprised you didn't do a "Pen is mighter than the sword" joke when Rotor called it the [link] !

Excellent! Awesome comic art. I still loved those early pun filled Sonic comics. Awesome job with page 5 of your Mettle comic, Dawn. Great flow of motion from panel to panel. Awesome drawings of the Sonic characters, especially Sally. Beautiful colors and bg. Can't wait for the next page of your comic.

nice page, and don't worry about the "gizmo manifestation", While sally doesn't seem to have pockets maybe it's like on her inside jacket, and hell Rotor has that sash thing with a ton of pockets....you gotta keep somethin in there.

Everyone's dialect seems sort of forced and unnatural. Try making the characters speech natural, as if it was a real life situation. That's really all I can tell that's wrong with it.
I expect to see more of this comic, by the way. It's interesting.
