That horny bastard stole more than fifteen hours of my life with that damn essay, and I'm going to beat the shit out of him for it.Funny story behind this series, which I took while I was procrastinating from my Freud essay. While I was taking these photos in the dimly-lit staircase room of my apartment, a woman and her dog walked in on me taking the photos. I must have looked like a real nut, because she immediately said, "Oh, I'll take the elevator" and left. Oh boy, I laughed my ass off... standing there with my shirt off, and a gray whitebalance card in my left hand. I don't know if she saw my tripod or camera, but my guess is that I will be the source of her nightmares and fears for many days to come.
I think that one of the best things you can learn in life is the ability to make an ass of yourself, and do it gracefully. In this vein, I humbly present my latest project.

Ah, I love embarrassing moments like that! The bottom left reminds me of Kung Fu Hustle..which everybody needs to see because it's a wonderful movie. Your self portraits are always fun to look at (not just for the obvious reasons

Top middle and bottom left really look like bruce lee, damn, that's cool. BW looks great with the grain and the fact you are wearing really dark(black) pants and that your hair is dark while the upperbodu somes of more white gives an amazing contrast!! Love the spotlightlook of it!

One thing that is great about photography is how you come to see the light. For most people this stairway room is a poorly-lit hallway... but when I was passing by it one day and saw the way the shadows were falling I knew immediately that this would be the location of a shoot

Ahem. Let me compose myself here. The pictures are incredible. Someone above stated you looked like Bruce Lee, and I see the resemblance here in these shots. The poses are very nice, and the lighting is intense. Funny story behind it all, I read. Haha, you have to admit, making an ass out of yourself for something you enjoy sure is fun though, ne? ^o^

Hey there! Yeah, I love Bruce Lee. Actually, my favourite martial artist right now is Jet Li, though. But since choreography has matured so much in the past 20-30 years, it makes me wonder who would have made cooler movies, Jet Li or Bruce. But then Jet's martial arts is a performance martial arts, and he was number one in the world, so in terms of entertainment value I think Jet may still win!

I love Jet Li too! Though, he since he got married, he hasn't been doing any cool martial arts movies. I'm not aware of any new ones in China and it seems like his last movie was Hero, which didn't have that much martial arts in it (beautiful beautiful movie though! I actually want to take a set of pictures that resembles those scenes. The director's use of color for imagery is breathtaking).
Recently my satellite started showing a all Kung Fu channel, so I caught up on tons of old Bruce Lee stuff (some that never made it here). Yeah, the action isn't that cool, but his style kicks ass
