Description
About:This script adds a symbol next to the deviants name that shows if the user is online, some days offline, offline for a longer time or invisible. It also shows you if the user is watching you.
This is a working script! Install it if you want this!
Features:--> adds a symbol next to the deviants name that shows his status:
red - Offline longer than a week
yellow - Offline shorter than a week
green - Online
grey - Invisible
--> GM-Menu lets you set if there should be a Not-Watching-Button and since when a Deviant is in red-status!
--> displays a new button "Watching You" when Deviant is watching you, otherwise "Not watching you"
--> only works on their profile-page!
--> uncheck "extra watch-button"to change the present +watch-button instead!
--> if the clock-symbol is shown, the script currently updates your watcher-list! Hover over the symbol to see how many are already updated! (something about 600 Watchers/second)
--> if you go to another profile/actualize while the script is updating, it will resume updating on the new site
--> clicking on the button will get you a setting-window to choose:
- - - >when a Deviant is not yellow but red
- - - >if the button should be visible when not watching you
- - - >after which time the watcher-list should be updated
- - - >If you'd like the long text-watch-button or a shorter one
--> Click on the Friends-button and then "Manage friends". In the upcoming list, hover over the names of the people you watch. After some seconds there should be a little Icon like on their profile-page, when they were last active. Now you can just remove all that are inactive for some years or something^^
Preferences:
Should work with Firefox, Opera and Chrome! For Opera and Chrome see my Howto dediggefedde.deviantart.com/jo… to install properly. It may also work in Safari, but is not tested.
Install: phi.pf-control.de/userscripts/…
Again, it was a visual suggestion, located here: sarahell.deviantart.com/art/DA…
However, I know there is a script that already shows if you are watched.
Well, I wanted to create my own and heard the other stopped working.
But don't think, I just copy some parts from there! This script is fully written by myself!
Update:
Some errors using Firefox are fixed with some rewrites.
Errors with Chrome are fixed by switching to tampermonkey-extension.
Update v3:
I changed the watch-button instead of adding a new one.
It changes to "mutual watchers" when you watch each other.
The profile-page contains now a settings-button.
The Friend-list will now get Icons depending on the user's last activity on hover.
If you update from an earlier version it may display the buttons wrong until you let it refetch your list.

The provider userscript.org had some connection-trouble some time ago. Please try it again and tell me whether the problem remains.
I'm considering providing a mirror soon on a website at php-friends.de.

Are you using Firefox?
Try closing all Tabs on profiles of other people except one.
Then click the button, set "Duration to update Watch-List" to 0 and save.
Then reload the page.
If it's working for you now, you can set the value up again, if you like. It shouldn't take more than 10 seconds to scan 200 watchers...
You can check the current state by hovering over the loading-icon! it will give you a tool tip with the current amount of loaded watchers. leaving and hovering again will refresh the number.

Do you know if this is compatible with Safari? And if it is would you click on the one used fro Chrome? (I use a mac, so I'm not sure if I can use anything other than Safari and I'd really like to have this!)

Well, using tampermonkey it is running on chrome.
There is also Firefox for Mac: [link]
I can't promise much, but I heard that it works now with Ninjakit for Safari. You can download that here: [link]

Are you using the tampermonkey-extension to run userscripts on chrome?
It's a lot easier managing userscripts there that way. It also provides a better compatibility!

Well, I can't do much about that.
If you are prevented by your admin's settings or an antivirus-software, it's probably better to ask the one in charge to unlock the site. If that is you, you need to figure out yourself, what is blocking the site.
This may Range from a strict internet security, to browser-addons and -settings over antivirus and proxy-programs.
The website isn't dangerouse itself. It offers only open source Code in Javascript to use in Greasemonkey and so on. The scripts may violate browser-game rules or can be used to log keys or pish sites, but the latter two will easily realized soon (as open source) and get banned from there. The first is in general legal (it's the browser-games problem).

I don't really understand your problem^^
the dA-Team has usually too much to do than approve all scripts they allow running. However, as this one got a daily deviation (you can see the badge over the comment-section) this one has been seen and got positive feedback.
In general, all scripts that doesn't cause much traffic are allowed. And if you are using one that might do something, they don't want, dA usually puts small restraints as waiting a minute to give the next llama or will contact you in worst case...
So far all my scripts got positive feedback and I didn't come across a script on dA that is prohibited by dA.
After all, this isn't a browser game^^
I don't know what you mean with critic approved. I didn't enable critiques as I didn't have a premium-account at the point of publishing. And even with that, everyone could have given a critique, so it isn't a real official approval or more approving than the 470 comments^^
If you encounter problems or have more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Did you install it within Tampermonkey?
if you type chrome:extensions into the addressbar and press return, is dev_user_inf listed there? Then it is not installed within tampermonkey. In that case remove it from the list (uninstall).
If you search for tampermonkey in this list and click on "options", there should be a new list of only userscripts and there should be also dev_user_inf listed.
I've got nothing to do with any search-engine or browser-settings. a userscript simply can't change these settings. If your basic search-engine changed, it's most likely that you installed some program that changed these settings. You most likely installed babylon-toolbar. have you uninstalled it within your software-list of your system and the extension-list of chrome? you also may delete babylon as search-engine from the list of engines where you set the default-search-engine. It may also required that you remove it with special software as babylon-toolbar is considered spyware. In that case, try downloading the free version of [link] and start it with admen-previleges. Here is also another way of removing babylon-toolbar: [link]

mmh... that's strange.
Do you have a normal bandwith?
Firefox and Greasemonkey?
under what conditions are you using the script?
When I test it with your name, I only have to wait around 5 seconds...
You could try clicking on the button and set the bottom-field (update-interval) to 0.

mmh... I just tested it with the current opera-version and your name...
Did you save the settings after you changed them in your opera:config ? there is always a save-button at the bottom of each paragraph. I didn't made it obvious in the video as my settings were already right set...
especially opera:config#Network|AllowCrossNetworkNavigation should be set to true for this function.
Did you rename the file to something like [...].user.js ? it's important for it to have the .user.js-ending.

Well, the script works browser-intern.
So, I guess when it is working for safari with Ninjakit and Ninjakit can be installed on a mac, then it will run on a mac, too.

Well, IE isn't known for its great addon-possibilities.
If you like customizing your browser with addons and scripts, why don't you switch to any other browser? Almost every other browser let you install such things much easier.
Have you tried out with Trixie? someone said, it would work, but maybe that was with a earlier IE-Version.

Hi!
The old solution would be installing Simbl and Greasekit, however that often doesn't work...
There is also an extension called Ninjakit out since 2011 that is calling itself a greasemonkey-clone.
So, installing Ninjakit-extension for safari and following its instruction to install userscripts may make this script usable in Safari.

Jede Menge: customedit is undefined
ein paar: Security Manager is "kA was"

Support kannst du u.a. af userscripts.org erhalten.
