Lake TekapoNew Zealand
The Church of the Good Shepherd is undoubtedly one of the prime locations for photography in New Zealand. I was impressed with the starry skies for the nights we were there but excluding the church, Tekapo is probably not in the top bracket of places we visited on our recent trip - which is saying alot considering how beautiful it is. I wanted to try to include the Milky Way with this church which ended up taking 14 vertical shots. The 5dmk3 performed very well at the iso shot (3200) and I am now confident to print these shots where before, even with the 5dmk2, many of the shots were admittedly just for fun.

I'm curious to know how you were able to achieve this with 14 shots and still be able to stitch them properly with such a long (I would assume) time lapse.

it was difficult - each exposure was 30 seconds long so the final stitch ended up looking very U shaped which I had to manually correct distortion for
