Description
Talia CavesSouth Australia
Marianne and I are currently on a road trip around Eyre Peninsula for 10 days. I thought I'd try to keep up the weekly upload even though this is a laptop edit. The Talia caves region is home to some fantasticcally textured rock as well as dramatic surges of waves along channels in the rock. I tried to do incorporate the sun into the image though the seaspray dotting the filters made it a very tough task. I hope you enjoy the result and I look forward to presenting more from this trip after we get back!

thanks - you don't need a great camera for this kind of shot ! just 2 stop ND filter and cable release

This reminds me of when I did the polar bear plunge, it was epic with the sun just rising when we ran in. Alas this pic is wonderful. :]

The smoothness of the water is priceless- amazing. Did you need a ND filter for that sort of a shutter speed?

I couldn't use filters in this scene because of all the spray and flare going around - ended up stopping down to F22 and low iso

This is one of the best combinations of two of the most popular types of shots I've been seeing here on DA, slow shutter & sunsets. Very great job at tastefully combining the two into one Masterpiece! Congrats!
