Description
Finally, a fractal I was satisfied enough with to render.I remember praying to myself off and on through the night that the render would keep its grain amount low. Apparently going up to 4200 pixels across did the trick, becuase the grain was low enough to actually add character to the piece rather than be this blatant "you did not render this correctly" shout. So yeah, I'm happy.
Anyways, this is in the flair of a fractal I did a while back that had a slanted "fan" effect. And no, this was not done on Apo 3D, despite it looking somewhat three-dimensional.
I actually started this one as an effort to emulate some of those fractals that had a disc and then a clear space, and then distorted discs in them. But I was bored with making sense out of that method (had started by watching how a script did it) and started using fan variations. Turned out pretty nice, actually. I'll have to keep experimenting, then.
Becuase of having prints, I will be making and rendering more fractals at larger sizes. I also will be getting a bit pickier about the quality of fractal. If it doesn't wow me, how is it going to wow my buyers or watchers?
So yeah, expect more stuff from me.
Fractal in Apophysis 2.07 beta, with background, sizing down (from the initial 4200x3000-something render) border and title in Photoshop. I actually didn't have to work the fractal itself at all. Which is pretty nice.

Thank you. Glad you liked it.
Yeah I debated whether or not to leave the blues in, then decided they played well with the rest of the piece, and left them in. I'm glad I did now. They add something extra to the whole thing.

Thank you. Glad to hear it. (I don't mind people using my fractals for wallpapers. I've done the same in the past.)

Thank you.
And yes, you will.
I got another one in the works which looks even more science-fictional. You should see it tomorrow.
