Description
EDIT: It has been brought to my attention by a commenter that the 'randomly placed apostrophes' were throwing off the flow.THERE WILL BE NO PUNCUATION. This will be a continueing trend throughout the rest of my poetry. I've seen the light and old habits die hard.

Poem about people acting older than they are, or wanting to be older, not taking the time to enjoy themselves while they're what they are. =]

*slow clap* I love it. A lot of my friends/family/teachers/etc are like "Grow up already!" I have like, (hopefully) 60(?) years to grow up! Be young when you're young! And again <3 your poem~!

I totally agree. The ones who go out to party a lot try to be grown up and very fashionable. Most of the time, it's great to be young, because you don't have to blamed for many things and there's always someone you can look up to for guidance. Being the opposite, it's hard being a leader when you don't have much plans.

I'm afraid I don't agree with this poem. Having more responsibility can also mean having more personal freedom. Believe me, that's something some people really wish they had!
But I still like the poem. XD

I love your poems! They always seem to touch my heart.
I don't know how many times I've seen little children younger than myself dressed in clothes that make them look like little adults. It's even worse for teenagers. They not only dress stupidly, but they do stupid things as well. All to try to be more "grown up"... I don't get it... =__=
I dress comfortably so that I can enjoy my time as a kid! I see girls in my class dressed in outfits that just look painful and annoying to wear. High heeled shoes, shorts skirts, dangling jewellery... How are you supposed to play games, climb trees, and jump around in the mud on a rainy day with outfits like that?

I agree with you completely. Why some girls wear those god-awful, annoying, uncomfortable clothes puzzles me. I mean I'm a girl and right now I'm wearing an oversized T-shirt and basketball shorts. People need to stop trying to grow up so fast

Glad to know someone else agrees with me! You're awesome!
Sometimes I get comments like "You should dress more like this, you'd look pretty" or "You dress like a kid". It can be annoying, but most of the time I just laugh. I am a kid and just because a girl doesn't wear girly clothes doesn't mean they're not pretty. It's okay to focus on your appearance, but most of the time, girls who try WAY too hard to be pretty on the outside have an ugly personality on the inside. I think how we dress reflects on how we think of ourselves.

That's a great quality to have! I think more girls should be like this, not caring about what other people think. So many girls quit sports and activities just because they don't like how they look. It's ridiculous.

No prob. I know, it's sad that people have to pick on others to feel good about themselves. It would be nice if we could all just be more accepting. That goes for everything too. Colour, age, sexuality, etc. People are quick to judge and don't get to know the person. I admit that I do that sometimes, but I try not to. Even if a girl is dressing provocatively, I try to give her the upper hand until I see her do something that is rude or inappropriate.

Wow! That's really nice of you. You sound like a great friend. There should be more people like you.
I hate how people judge friendships by quantity and not quality. Sure, I have friends I talk to at school, but if someone asked me how many friends I had, I would say one. I only have one friend I ever hang out with because we share morals and get along well and we don't even go to the same school. She's the only friend I have that I trust and could share anything with her.

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know what it's like to lose someone, but I do know what it's like to end a friendship and grow apart from a close friend. I understand where you're coming from. I've moved around a lot. I had friends that I absolutely loved like family, but as we got older they changed and I stayed the same. I never really had a crowd or a group of friends that I fit in with, so I'm used to chilling by myself, and I actually like being alone now. It's not that I don't like my friend but it's more comfortable to spend time alone. But I do try to spend as much time with loved ones because I never know when I might not see them again.

I know what you mean. I never had a lot in common with girls my age because they're all gossiping and talking about boys and makeup and that's okay, but I'd rather talk about things like school, careers, life, interests, dreams, and not just girly things. Because I didn't have someone to talk to with the same interests I was very quiet. But now I'm coming out of my shell as I'm starting to find out who I am. I'm not as worried anymore. Of course, I still worry about getting stabbed in the back or lowered to a backup friend (it's happened), but I think I could handle it now.
That's good to know. Everyone usually has a time in their life when they just need to let out some emotion. I know I did, and when I look back on it I just laugh at myself and think "Wow. That felt good."

Lol yep! And sometimes I'll get intimidated by these girls cause I'll think "she's really pretty, why can't my hair look like hers, etc." But once I start talking to them it's like I'm talking to an ordinary person and I forget all about appearances.
I would love to have a guy friend. I think that would be awesome. Guy friends could play sports and video games with me, and not a lot of girls are interested in those things.

yeah and it's pretty funny how america says "I'm the hero!" because america has troops in wars we have no buisness being in because were 'trying to be the hero'. And I admit i was kind of surprised that America didn't have a southern accent. because thats one of america's main sterotypes, that we all talk like red-necks.

I honestly wish Canada got more screen time cause Canada was in World War 1 and 2 from start to finish before America decided to join. Yet Canada is just too nice to take away screen time from his neighbour.

Lol well if you live in Canada, it's most likely that you're pale, unless you're an immigrant. We don't get a lot of sun year round, unless you live on the West coast like me where the Pacific ocean is. I live in British Columbia, which is basically the California of Canada, except it rains a lot.
I've been down to America, but I've never really talked to any Americans. I'd like to though, because I'd like to form my own opinion on Americans rather than believe the stereotype. There are rude Canadians, so there must be nice Americans.
