Description 3 major problems MMD editors will run into while editing models! All of these things can lag or crash your models, please take care and clean up your models properly!

Tutorial covers bone registration, hidden vertex, duplicate physics, and disconnected joints. These are problems I make sure to go through for each model, and sometimes used to miss a lot!!

Does anyone know how to delete the 'bad' roots?
They look like this: [looks] and [??] (There is nothing inside them). I tried to delete them but nothing happens. Please help me.

Hey there,
Thank you so much for the tip about hidden vertices. I have a model that has been lagging for quite some time now and it was a pain in the... to edit it.
After finding your tutorial, I decided I'd give it a try. I went from 537 830 vertices to 102 504. Anyone who reads this, do not underestimate this tutorial ! XD
It's still hard to believe... But now, the said model is not lagging anymore. I'm doing this with all my models now... Thanks. For real. You can't imagine how much you helped me.

Hey no problem! Model editing can be a pain if you don't know how to clean your models up. It's great to make it a habit to clean all your parts before putting them on your model to prevent any extra garbage while you edit! That way it's a lot easier to test your model as you go, cuz there's less junk hidden in there!

Happy editing friend! Keep it real!

The way I normally find hidden vertex is to go to 2nd tab in the one you use to move and write a number in so it moves up ovo, there I also select bones and physicals and joints since then I move it up I can find tail bones or physicals that was over or under the model, very well made

This is really helpful to know. I got a model I saved from someone & the rigging is bad, there are bones that shouldn't be there, parts are invisible when turned a certain way & there are 2 shoot into the background & go on forever & don't show up in the editor.

The rigging is a mess on the model & they're my fave character & the only MMD model of him too

Thanks, it's a model of the wizard from a Harvest Moon game. The person that ripped/rigged it admitted to having trouble so that might be why

The link is in the description, they mentioned asking first to fix it but when I asked(which might not have been a good thing as I barely know how to edit & was going to look for multiple tutorials) they didn't reply. I'm guessing they were not active at the time or no longer active since they replied to me before.

Sorry for bugging you about this.X/
