Also, in older versions of this effect, you don't need to/shouldn't change the name of textures folder.
I believe you can fix other effects as well with this method ^^ .

Finally got it to work, Thank you!! Just a quick question.... when I load up the puddle, its got a think white outline, while the middle area looks normal, plus its super qlitchy when the camera moves.Β

After I upgraded my PC to a gamer PC with better graphics card, my 5.4 water suddenly started to appear as white box, I really loved that effect so I was extremely sad that I couldn't use t anymore...

You'll have to change the texture of the water.

Thanks for your help! ... I have made a day of researching this effect... soon to be a post on LearnMMD.com! ... For VanillaBear3600: That Step 4 is most important... be sure the file names have no Japanese or scrambled letters... just give them sensible names. Be sure the .x and .fx have the same filename within each version ... Also, inside each of those sub-folders is a file with a name that shows the recommended Si size for that version of the effect... Like 1000 for Sea and 20 for Waterfall.

Mistress: Hey i have this sort of problem except it shows a black tiny thin box..i don't understand why o n o its been doing that to the new effects that came out on MMD, I tried seeing if its the names but nope it reads them good..and the worst part is that i have no idea how to use them. The effect doesn't come with that. The best I can tell you is to download an audio clip of people stepping on water, or make it yourself.
