Description Important info below

I HIGHLY recommend using Water version 5.4 which you can download here -> link

Also, in older versions of this effect, you don't need to/shouldn't change the name of textures folder.

I believe you can fix other effects as well with this method ^^ .

Move it slightly above ground and load a stage, it should be transparent then. Sometimes you have to load a motion to your model and click play and then see if the water moves.

Thank you for this tutorial, but, whenever I load the water .x file and then the .fx, the water is always a strange black color. Is there any way to fix that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 3

MaiCroft In reply to succu-lent [2015-07-06 16:30:45 +0000 UTC]

Move it slightly above ground and load a stage, it should be transparent then. If you want your water to look super realistic and you have at least version 9.04 of your MMD, then go to the "background(B)" and then click "accessories edit(A)". then you'll see "over >>1<< th accessory "described after models". Change this 1 to 0. Now, before you scream "WHERE IS MY WATER GONE???" you should wiggle you camera and you'll see that small part of the floor (the place where the puddle is) reflects the stage/model c: .

If my tutorial didn't help, then I don't know how I can help you (maybe go into PMD Editor, rename textures for water, and in PMD Editor, also change the names of the textures in textures tab).

A tiny little request, I don't suppose you would also know how to fix the FluffyGrass MME, do you?
For some of us, the grass doesn't move at all.
I tried the renaming method, it ended up right, but once I loaded in a model, it exploded. o^o"

My computer also lags with this effects. Move it slightly above ground and load a stage, it should be transparent then. If you want your water to look super realistic and you have at least version 9.04 of your MMD, then go to the "background(B)" and then click "accessories edit(A)". then you'll see "over >>1<< th accessory "described after models".
