really, I don't entirely know. I've experimented and experimented and I've still haven't really found a sure fire way to make them any better.

So I used this on a skirt made in meta and had it attached to a tda base for a request but when I tested the model with a motion the legs clip through the skirt ;A; what should I do?

DesertDraggon In reply to VenusSempai [2014-01-29 01:58:03 +0000 UTC]
Do the legs have physics? They need to have physics. Physics act upon each other. If they don't have physics then the easiest method would be to import some from a model that does have them. If it does have physics, make sure that they aren't the same color as the skirt's physics and make sure that the skirt physics aren't ignoring the leg's physics by checking off the numbered box that goes with the color.

Oh okay o.o and yes the legs have physics that match the skirts
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DesertDraggon In reply to VenusSempai [2014-01-29 02:18:46 +0000 UTC]
Aight then you need to change them. They can't be the same otherwise they'll ignore eachother. Make them a different color physic.

The legs physics or the skirts? o.o and how would I go about that? Just another round through the skirt plugin? Sorry for asking newb questions >.>
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DesertDraggon In reply to VenusSempai [2014-01-29 03:03:26 +0000 UTC]
You need to change the legs physics. Go to the physics tab on the main window and find the leg physics. Then look for a drop menu that's above the numbered colored boxes. Then choose a number that goes with a color that is different from the skirt physics color. Then make sure to uncheck the colored box that is the same color as the skirt physics. Make sure you also check the box that is the color of your leg physics.

how bad is it clipping through. Like it completely goes through the leg or just a lil bit

VenusSempai In reply to DesertDraggon [2014-01-29 03:28:29 +0000 UTC]
It's clipping through the top of the thighs almost completely ;A;

DesertDraggon In reply to VenusSempai [2014-01-29 03:38:25 +0000 UTC]
1. Are the leg physics covering the entire width of the leg?
2. Check the skirt physics to see if the color that the leg physics are, is checked. If so, uncheck it.
Otherwise. I don't know what else to say.

Do you know how to make skirt physics for skirts that aren't round?? I've been messing with this for a while and I cant make skirt physics for something in the shape of a "C".... Would be awesome if you can give me some pointers if you have tried to add physics to other skirts that aren't typically round.

Like incomplete??? Ah that's a tricky thing, you just gotta try and rotate it so that there would be no set of bones in the gap -shrug-

Would you happen to have a guide on how you weighed the coat for one of your models?, would be awesome
I will keep trying with the incomplete skirt ><, i just cant form a "C" like shape without getting it all weird looking like....

DesertDraggon In reply to TheMightyKumo [2013-12-15 02:23:10 +0000 UTC]
ok, all you really need to do is while you're positioning the joints rotate them all the way around so the joints in back are in front. The joints in front always have the one row of bones in the middle, the ones in back generally are split in 2 so if you rotate them then they should turn out split and work owo

the only thing i can think of is that the top physics are not connected to the body's physic with the top joints.

nah helped me out, turns out when i put the -500, 500 in the top box of the joint section it put that into the move section of the joints and was forcing the physics to try to go straight down to the position of -500 but was being stopped by the floor... i have it fixed now thanks though
