Description
This is another of my "Beasts of Skull Island" creations, a made up dinosaur for Skull Island, as seen in the 2005 King Kong. This also ties into my King Kong fan fiction. This is also my first dinosaur made for the island, I've normally been focusing on Mammals and other reptiles. I made this creature to go represent a Pachycephalosauridae dinosaur, a creature seen in the first episode of "Kong: the Animated series", one rams Kong in the gut when it charges at Jason and Kong steps between them. Since I am doing a King Kong story inspired by that cartoon, but connected to the 2005 movie, I wanted all the creatures of that island represented by some creature, making new ones to fill in any gaps.
Kentrodorsus maximus (Large Pointed-Back) is a large Pachycephalosaur, larger then even Pachycephalosaurus, at 22-30 feet long. It had large horns on its nose, and spikes on the back of its head, much like a Stygimoloch. It also had a row of spikes down its back, from its neck to its tail.
Its domed head was thick like others of its type, allowing the dinosaur to ram both rival males and predators with considerable force. Like other herbivorous dinosaurs of the island, the creature was temperamental and charged at slight provocation. The creature lives in the grasslands of the island, gracing along side other herbivorous dinosaurs like Brontosaurus.
Edit: Changed its name to a new one that I liked better
