Description I've had a few requests for a lineart tutorial in addition to some other types A lineart tutorial is conveniently quicker to make though <_< But I'll get to work on some more soonly

Hopefully you find this one useful. It may not be as eh.. magical as you might have hoped But these are the tricks I use to make clean lines digitally And remember, in addition to tricks, you also need to practice! Yaaay! Everyone loves hearing that, right?

Gawd, I always wondered how some poeple got their lines so straight, but you line the same as I used to xD My tablet's just a giant poo, for some reason it likes to spaz out whenever I'm using it for line art... not colouring, JUST line-arting. If I had some money I'd go and get a nice Wacom, but I don't xD

hehe, yah... what size tablet do you use? I think it's trickier to use smaller ones, personally.

Mine's an A4 paper sized one. I think it's harder to use larger ones myself, I shrunk the size of the work area on mine. It was a cheap tablet that was given to me though, so not to be ungrateful, but it *is* annoying when it starts doing things you didn't tell it to.

erm, it was a great gift from my cousin, and it's about, 6x8 inches I think. it works fine and I love it. I just haven't really practiced drawing with it. only coloring so far.

aaah, cool. I like the 6x8s, they've always worked well for me. It's the 4x6s that stink D:

I have a Graphire3 Wacom I nailed down from onsale.com for 103 dollars....it was a 8 by 6 live area.

shweet ^^ I like the 6x8s as well as the 9x12s. I have the latter one of those but the former has always worked great for me as well.. plust they're infinitely more portable <_< It's those darn 4x6s.. those are complete pains in the butt D: Though not completely unuseable.. but I'd much prefer an intuos if I had to be stuck with that size =\ 'cause then atleast I'd have the pressure levels. In my animation class we gotta use 4x6 graphire3 tablets =.= luckily I don't ever have to do much detailing work.. 'cause I'm pretty sure that would drive me nuts D:

You have in Intuos? I'd like to buy one, but they're all too expensive D:
Did you get yours anywhere special?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dizzyclown In reply to Kyira [2006-06-03 03:22:14 +0000 UTC]

only if the wacom site is special D: But you can probably pick up an intuos II for a pretty good price now from somewhere like ebay or amazon
