This is a great tutorial but may I make a suggestion? I am not sure if I am the only one having this issue, but the text is a bit difficult to read. It is a HUGE file (which I don't mind) but the text is a bit small and written in a soft color. Perhaps you could either make the text darker or break this up into two parts and then make each part a bit more blown up so the text is more easily read. Other than that, I am thrilled with it. ^_^

I'm new to Photoshop, so learning how some of these tools can be used was useful! One general question I have is - what size do you make your drawings? Again, I am new to Photoshop and it seems that my linework is very blurry, so I'm thinking one must make the pic pretty large?

MilGoncalez In reply to gpig333 [2007-03-28 17:40:55 +0000 UTC]

I make them HUGE (minimum 1000 pixes ), which makes it easy to work on. After I'm donne, I shrink it NOT by changing the image size, but by manualy resizing it. Of course I post them smaller here on DA (foz example a 100X900 pixels image is view as a 800x something).
Er...got it?! *gee, I'm terrible at explaining stuff!*

Thanks for the tutorial! I always wondered how people got that sort of...gradient look (the left picture in #6) to the shading and highlighting. I didn't know it was with the burn and dodge tools. XD
