Description
"After the destruction of a large metheor a planet is bombarded by thousands of "small" fragments. The pretty far advanced inhabitants desperately try to deal with this problem. But even while the remainings of the asteroid approach slowly they are numerous and hard to destroy without creating more debrie."I hope that made some sence
I'd love to take credit for the entire piece but the spaceships are not mine. I found those on [link] So credit for those go to their creators wich can be found in the startrek and star wars sections.
It was fun creating this piece. For the first time in a long long time i felt like i was doing something i didn't do before. I love tg2, it enables you to create stunning scenes. So everyone that hasn't tried it, YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT!!!! Well that's all from me. Tnx for watching, i hope you like it
DKF out.

Is there a chance of extending the scenery up and down to cover the entire surface of the image?

DKF In reply to Black-Flag [2007-02-26 07:29:26 +0000 UTC]
ehh, nope. Just imgaine how large the image would get. And besides i changed a lot on the render (color/contrast etc.) so it would be very hard to do so.

Yes, it would be as large as my screen and would make for a nice wallpaper. But ok.

hmm, well. the render was only this big. And the wallpaper was made for 1920x1200 (24") screens. So i got nothing bigger. Next time i will do a 1200 px high image, hows that

its awe inspiring!!!
only thing i have against it is that you used famous elements, aka the star wars ships...
i'm just not sure if that counts as terraspace?
i hope it does, cause when i lose, i wanna lose to something like that

nice work!
the large ship is a romulan one, maybe a warbird? and the smaller ones are imperial fighters from star wars i think (god i dont even watch either of them, i scare myself at times )

Where do you get TGD,and what does it stand for?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
cosmicbound In reply to DKF [2007-02-12 07:53:20 +0000 UTC]
Perhaps but I haven't really practised with TGD as of yet, nor do I have the full version, so if anything my piece would be made with just TG 0.91, of course the results can still be nice, but the depth isn't as complex as TGD.

This does a very good job of making it feel like it is actually going on - that it's almost like a photograph of a space battle. Basically, good job rendering motion in this piece.

i can not say anything else but WOW. i allways love your compositions and this one is a masterpiece. the smaller planet fits in better than the old one, when you showed me. The asteroids and spaceships add to the feel of depth. just the lighting on the second (biggest) planet makes the planet seem a little flat, but thats just a minor thing. it's still a straight a piece. great work with a unique result!
