What can I say, one of the best uses of depth I have ever seen.

i like it mate, but if i should put my finger on something, then it would be the balance. I think the number of elements that make up this piece kinda draws the focus away and for me creates a little uncertainty, but man, its nice

Tnx, yea it is a pretty big image and it has a lot of elements. But when you see it as a complete picture it all looks more connected. It's probably becouse of the size of my screen (24") and when i published it i didn't really thought about the size that most people have (17"-19")

mm, on second thought, it's definately grown on me. After viewing the piece in a smaller format, i see your point, and its all coming together. The picture is actually very well balanced and has a good flow of the different elements, but as you said, the large version kinda fools you at first. Anyways mate, dont listen to my peeps lol, its a damn nice piece of work you've put together.

The focus/blur effect is just beautiful in this, and the colors are pretty... sorry for the lame comment.

Very realistic shading and coloring, however some of the clouds seem a bit flat...

Since the asteroids all look to be of the same relative size, and the fact that there is a tiny asteroid completly blurred in the first plane, gives the feeling that all the asteroids are tiny pebbles close to the camera (as a asteroid blurred like that would means it's actaully a tiny rock at afew inches away from the camera)

Good point. I'll keep that in mind for future pictures. The asteroids do differ in size but not much though. Tnx for the comment

Looks absoultely fantastic, I love the solitary and lonely feel to it, very aptly named. Keep up the fantastic work.

This is absolutely stunning; the soft colours in the background, the way the asteroids float in seemingly aimless patterns, the planets themselves...
This is too beautiful, too deep, too awesome for words. It's just so... big.

best space art ive seen all year, probobly longer, what really bugs me though is the blurred asteroid down the bottom, if you want my honest opinion it kind of ruins the image. Its so nicely composed, epic yet calm but once you scroll down the serenity is destroyed by that big blurry object.
but enough about that
Its still definently worth a man, fantastic work!

Otherwise excellent, but imo the blur at the front doesn't fit.
In real life everything space-related is photographed from very far away, so nothing blurs due to focal settings. Great work.

OMGasm
This piece knocks me off my feet. It conveys "vastness" very well... I especially like how the eyes are led slowly from the foreground along the asteroids into the first, and then the second planet. Very.. vast. I love it! Fav'ed.
