"I don't rock and roll. I burn."The most recent episode of Transformers Animated was Predacons Rising, featuring the debut of the much anticipated Animated Waspinator. The fanwank ending has had fans buzzing (no pun intended) over an Animated Beast Wars, myself among them. So, here's my take on an Animated Beast Wars Inferno.
To enlighten those not familiar with the this guy, I'll quote the wiki:
"Inferno wholeheartedly believes that he is an ant and that Megatron is his queen. Unlike many Predacons, he has no personal ambitions or future plans; everything he does is for the good of the colony and his queen. Luckily for Inferno, many of the tasks his queen assigns him involve burning things - and he likes burning things.
Keeping with his ant mentality, Inferno has absolutely no regard for his own personal safety whatsoever. He is fanatically loyal to Megatron, and as such will use his heavy firepower and incredible strength full-on and take any task given of him, no matter how suicidal. And he'll do it laughing maniacally the entire time, for the glory of the colony."
In short, Inferno is mindlessly loyal, psychotic, and lives to burn people, places, and things. For Animated, I modeled him heavily on Waspinator, and added the soldier elements for the hell of it.
"Ahahahaha! Fool! Pain is my friend. Allow me to introduce you to it!"

how'd they go from this to beast machines to transformers?
beast wars, Optimus was a gorilla, transformers he's a semi truck

Well, Transformers started with vehicle modes, then Beast Wars brought us animal modes. The series will just almost always revert to the vehicle based modes.

Likely because that was always the start, and cars tend to work better for the "robots in disguise" part than animals.

but beast wars was sorta my childhood in the 90's or whenever they made it.
transformers was good, though. except the first movie; hardly showed the autobots and decepticons fight on screen.

I liked the army look. Fits the fire ant psycho pretty good. XP I should get back to these some day. I stopped right before I was going to draw Tarantulus.

I personally love the head and the soldier look. If TV plans a new TF:Animated series with Inferno in it they should use that.

I typically prefer aligning with the Autobots, but in Beast Wars, I'd rather be a Pred, and in Animated, I prefer to be a neutral.
