People like to argue about shit that nobody really cares about. Whether or not Japan is the best place to live in is one of those topics. My point is that both weeaboos and the ones bashing weeaboos are fucking morons who have no clue what they're talking about especially when it comes to the ups and downs of living in Japan. They just like to mimic everything they hear.Weeaboos: Japan isn't Neverland. Life over there (or anywhere for that matter) does not work like it does in Peter Pan and it certainly does not work like it does in Anime or Manga as well. If you even visited the country, you will pretty much end your weeaboo phase there. Also do some research on the country before you even talk about trying to be a Mangaka. Mangaka and Comic artist are the same damn thing. Anime and Cartoons are the same thing too. Calling Cartoons and Anime two different things is like saying Democracy and Communism are opposites. Could any of you even at LEAST speak one sentence of Japanese without a translator? Have you even talked to a Japanese before? How much do you know about Japan? What makes you so special that you'll be able to succeed in Japan easily?
Weeaboo Haters: You're hardly any different from the weeaboos. All you do is try to say that "you're better off living in America (or whatever Western country) than you are in Japan!" No we are not. It doesn't matter what country we live in and Japan is certainly NOT any more or less racist than the rest of the world. I'm not saying that Japan is better than America, Canada or Europe. In fact all of them are just consumerist first world countries that are just as racist as one another. Do you HONESTLY think it makes a difference? They're all just neoliberal nations with a bunch of "We're better than Africa and the Middle East" bullshit. I can show you an essay on how Cuba managed to achieve the successes that neither Japan nor America could even achieve. Many of you are closet weeaboos either way.

If you want to doubt my essay, fine doubt all you want, but if you blast me for praising Cuba, I will treat you no different than I would a weeaboo. You are not on any ground to whine and bitch about weeaboos if you openly support a military alliance between US and Japan and oppose Fidel Castro (at least if you want to be taken seriously).
TL;DR: Weeaboos and weeaboo haters just need to... , do some research and form their own opinions. People just hear things and gobble them up.

Yeah I think this entire dichonomy is completely pointless.
I for one love anime and manga in general, even though they have been doing dumb stuff recently nintendo is still my favorite game company, and I find shinto mythology to be fascinating and japnese food to be delicious.
I really like cartoons, I still enjoy my microsoft made xbox consoles, and I find norse mythology to be fascinating and german food to be delicious. All for many of the exact same reasons.
I do not consider japan to be superior or inferior to anywhere else, nor do I think it's somehow perfect. Its a nice place but it's not the only one, it's just one nice place among many around the world.
I would also like to mention that I have a large amount of japanese friends who live here in canada with me, and they enjoy foreign stuff just as much as I do.
One of my japanese friends really likes the old west and we ride horses and go to rodeos and foolball games together. Red dead redemption is his favorite game.
Some people need to stop being so obessive and internet trolls need to stop ignoring just how many real japanese people there are who enjoy things from all around the world.

I've always been into video games more than I have been into Anime. As far as I can recall, Hayao Miyazaki criticized the Anime industry and fandom for being full of otaku.
Red Dead Redemption, I've always wanted to try out that game.

Yeah I've heard about the stuff that Miyazaki has said. I think he was more refering to "hikkikomori" or "shut ins" though.
He said that anime is supposed to be a wonderful artistic medium, and that is is very sad people are now using it as an excuse to be anti-social.
Quite frankly I agree with him to an extent. Being anti-social is not healthy. Although anime is a big contributor to this, I think it is just a symptom as opposed to the cause.
I also hear that Miyazaki loves model airplanes. That is nice because I also really like model air planes.
Yeah it's a really good game. I highly reccomend trying it if you get the chance.

I can admit I want to be a mangaka, but I'm actually passionate about art so I think I can do it if I try hard enough. But I do have backup plans. I hate it when weeaboos with 0 art skills boast about how much they want to be a mangaka >.> And I agree with what you said about weeaboos thinking that Japan is the best country ever... I actually want to go to Australia more than any country and when my friends who like anime find out, even the ones who DON'T like anime, think it's really weird how I don't want to go to Japan the most. Mangaka just means "Comic artist" so it doesn't matter what you call yourself really.
I'm not just talking about weeaboos who idolize Japan as some Anime Paradise, I also mean people who call everyone "weeaboos" too. The whole Weeaboos vs. anti-Weeaboos nonsense is just Westerners vs. Westerners over who knows more about Japan and frankly it's really boring to see such arguments.

It depends on where you're living.
If you live in more urban places like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago (examples of big cities within the US) or rather any big city anywhere in the world (different countries and different parts of the world can have various unique situations), then you would notice that there are plenty of people worse off (especially younger girls who can't get an education or a home).
