Description
People like to argue about shit that nobody really cares about. Whether or not Japan is the best place to live in is one of those topics. My point is that both weeaboos and the ones bashing weeaboos are fucking morons who have no clue what they're talking about especially when it comes to the ups and downs of living in Japan. They just like to mimic everything they hear.Weeaboos: Japan isn't Neverland. Life over there (or anywhere for that matter) does not work like it does in Peter Pan and it certainly does not work like it does in Anime or Manga as well. If you even visited the country, you will pretty much end your weeaboo phase there. Also do some research on the country before you even talk about trying to be a Mangaka. Mangaka and Comic artist are the same damn thing. Anime and Cartoons are the same thing too. Calling Cartoons and Anime two different things is like saying Democracy and Communism are opposites. Could any of you even at LEAST speak one sentence of Japanese without a translator? Have you even talked to a Japanese before? How much do you know about Japan? What makes you so special that you'll be able to succeed in Japan easily?
Weeaboo Haters: You're hardly any different from the weeaboos. All you do is try to say that "you're better off living in America (or whatever Western country) than you are in Japan!" No we are not. It doesn't matter what country we live in and Japan is certainly NOT any more or less racist than the rest of the world. I'm not saying that Japan is better than America, Canada or Europe. In fact all of them are just consumerist first world countries that are just as racist as one another. Do you HONESTLY think it makes a difference? They're all just neoliberal nations with a bunch of "We're better than Africa and the Middle East" bullshit. I can show you an essay on how Cuba managed to achieve the successes that neither Japan nor America could even achieve. Many of you are closet weeaboos either way.
[link]
If you want to doubt my essay, fine doubt all you want, but if you blast me for praising Cuba, I will treat you no different than I would a weeaboo. You are not on any ground to whine and bitch about weeaboos if you openly support a military alliance between US and Japan and oppose Fidel Castro (at least if you want to be taken seriously).
TL;DR: Weeaboos and weeaboo haters just need to... , do some research and form their own opinions. People just hear things and gobble them up.
Edit: There I got rid of the red. No more eye rape.

I have to admit that true weeaboos and anti-weeaboo's are really irritating. They never stop!!!!Β Not to mention that Weeaboos give anime/manga fans bad names simply because the rabid fans are most vocal.....

There are too many weeaboo haters around in the web. Β Don't get me wrong, weeaboos are annoying as heck,
but weeaboo haters are even worse. Β That said, both weeaboos and weeaboo haters are the worst people ever.

I honestly don't really care who's worse because both sides are just suburban white kids vs. suburban white kids over who's more knowledgeable about Japan.

I agree with this stamp. And the only anime I found to have a decent story anyways was Neo Ranga or Rahxephon. Not the majority that I see. But if you're not into Neo Ranga, I'm not gonna get mad. As for living in Japan, I wouldn't be able to live there because I'm poor. Β

DragonQuestWes In reply to WillTheLombax [2016-04-20 19:24:12 +0000 UTC]
I've never heard of Neo Ranga honestly.
Also, that's a rather common reason for not being able to live in or move to Japan, monetary reasons.

Well if you watch the anime, tell me what you thought of it
As for me being poor and whatnot, I'm trying to work on a GTA clone (not gameplay wise, though). Unfortunately, my progress is constantly hindered by crap at home. But hopefully, I might succeed, even if it takes me multiple years. I know my mom wants me to have a small time job, but I have yet to get my I.D. , so I can get a job.

Oh that.
Well maybe this may not be exactly what I've said then but I can pretty much tell you that Cuba managed to scrap the system after the Cuban revolution. Fulgencio Batista was backed by the US and was sent into exile in Spain after he was overthrown on the first of January in 1959. Cuba has less crime than the US and probably even LESS than Japan. Not to mention that Cuba has superb healthcare and education. Not to mention Cuba has direct democracy while the US and Japan have liberal democracies. People will talk about how "dictatorial" Cuba is because of the "same leader" for decades but never talk about how the LDP in Japan has been in power since the end of WWII as a result of US influence.

i see , good for Cubans i guess . also let's not forget , Japan's economy is pretty much all US capital . take US capital out of the equation and let's see how well Japan does then .

I also learned that otaku can be obsessed with anything not just anime, manga, and video games. They can also be obsessed with guns, trains, celebrities, or books. I learned why otaku because of the Otaku Murders in the 1980's because there was an otaku who was obsessed with lolicon and horror films and he kidnapped girls 4-7 years old and raped them but what made me horrified was that he even ate them. Which is why I think otaku is a word I do not associate myself with.

DragonQuestWes In reply to Burksaurus [2015-10-30 17:00:38 +0000 UTC]
Why would anybody associate themselves with otaku either?
Just ask Hayao Miyazaki. He despises them.

I get annoyed that a lot of people who are obsessed with Japan don't know it has the lowest birth rates and suicide rates. They also don't know that otaku is an insult and it means that you are pretty much a social reject who would never leave their house and would be rather be obsessed with their hobbies instead of contributing to society.

There are so many otaku here on this website. Yes, the term otaku can apply to fans of Western Animation too since Anime just means animation or cartoons.
