Description
I've decided to revisit my character sheets from my old webcomic, The Continued Adventures of Colin and Mona. It's been two years since my last designs and I feel these new ones are a lot more streamline and appealing.

The first redesign I did was for Arve, who sadly never got much screen-time in my comic before I scrapped it. Perhaps some day I'll reboot it with these gen 2 designs. As for the changes I went with, I decided to age him down a bit and give him more of a twiggy design. I also dropped the shoes and gave him a peter pan-esque outfit, complete with rolled-up cuffs and a v-neck. I also moved his scar from his forehead to his cheek. Bio:

Arve is a mischievous, and at times, ill-tempered 16 year-old. He has little respect for other people's property and will often take anything that catches his eye. However, when it comes to his own things, he becomes intensely possessive and territorial. He hates trespassers and will often play nasty pranks on people he dislikes. One of his saving graces is that he is actually quite charismatic and slow to anger, as long as you meet him when he's away from home. He has two modes, snarky smugness and slightly pissed off. In fact, one of the few times he has ever truly gone into a rage, was when Colin scarred his face. Because of this, his relationship with Colin is strained to say the least.
His bad attitude really isn't his fault though, most spriggans are like that by nature. In fact, when it comes to other spriggans, Arve is incredibly well behaved. He also has a soft spot for people he has personally taken a liking to, and will let them get away with a lot more than the next person. One such person is Mona, who Arve is not so subtly trying to befriend on a daily basis. He sees her as a very strong ally to have, though she views him as more of an annoying obstacle than anything else.
While most spriggans are reported to live in Cornwall, Arve has set up his abode in the enchanted forest, Fairsing. His current residence is a hidden treasure cave owned by the Nymph Queen, Titania, though she isn't aware of that fact. He has actually been squatting there for quite a while too, and doesn't seem to have any plans to move out any time soon. Caves, like the one he commandeered, are ideal homes for spriggans, especially for one as young as Arve is.
Spriggans themselves fall under the category of "Fairy," though Arve strongly dislikes being refereed to as one (He argues that his is much too tall to be a fairy). Despite that fact, he is still subject to the same weaknesses as all faeries, such as the inability to touch or enchant anyone with at least one clothing item on backwards. While most fairy warding works against Arve, it really puts him in a bad mood if anyone ever uses it against him.
After first meeting Colin and Mona, Arve has become a lot more sociable and more laid back than he used to be. He often barges into their clubhouse unannounced and proceeds to mess with their stuff. He even changed his "hairstyle" to match a model's in one of Mona's fashion Magazines that he "borrowed". It really works well with his "too cool for school" attitude.

Real life background information:
Spriggans are often found in burrows and caves and have been known to guard treasures, according to English folklore. Everything from theft, kidnapping, cattle wrangling and home destruction have been attributed to spriggan interference and they have also been acused of bewitching travelers. A well known ward against being tricked by fairies, especially spriggans, was to reverse one's cloak while traveling. They are an ill-tempered and thieving type of Cornish fairy rumored to be the ghosts of an ancient group of giants or possibly related to a race of trolls from Sweden and Denmark. Because of this, I decided to give him the Danish name Arve (pronounced Arh-vah) meaning "chickweed". Arve himself is designed with leafy hair, in a similar shape to the chickweed plant (minus the white flowers, which would look too out of character). He is also rather lanky and has elongated legs, which makes him look taller than he actually is. I combined that with his ashier-green skin tone as a subtle hint to his possible giant ghost origins. His design is rather asymmetrical (which is a representation of his twisted personality), from his "hair" to his facial expressions. His mouth and/or eyes are always slanted to one side, except when he is exceptionally angry (which is a visual representation of him losing his scheming and in-control facade and being upfront with his emotions).
