Description
Part of my continuing quest to create an original-looking dragon. I'm not sure how original these designs are, but I'm happy with the diversity of the designs I created, and I feel confident enough about them that I'd like to do a more detailed, color version of each at some point.Drawn in pencil, shading added in Photoshop 7

These are great. I'm going to bet you have a book full of these sketches. Really wonderful designs, and I agree that it's difficult to be original w/ dragons, but that doesn't mean we should stop trying!

Technically, dragons are so overdone these days that I don't think it's metaphysically possible to come up with one that's truly original (even putting the name 'dragon' on creatures that look absolutely nothing like dragons has been done). XD Not to put a stint in the process, though, since you've got a nice collection going here. Luffs for facial doodads. I'm fond of the third from the bottom, along the right edge (above the fin-head design), as well as the one directly above it.

I know what you mean; dragons seem to have completely saturated fantasy art. I'm just totally addicted to them, so I can never get enough.
