Description
The idea I had going into this drawing was Pyramid Head from Silent Hill mixed with a pterodactyl. It's obviously progressed somewhat from that, but overall I like the way it turned out. It does need some work, though--the top of the creature looks too much like a head, not enough like a humpback. Also, i think I might replace the forearms with long, curved spikes. Anywho, here it is. Not much in the way of composition, it's really just the concept that counts.Related content

Thanks! It's been a long while since I drew this, and my ideas on demons have developed significantly. I still like the basic design of this guy, though, so I probably will do an "update" some time. I've got some new demon art on the way, so you're welcome to keep watch.

The concept is simply awesome. Once again I'm struck by how much your design-work and even your shading/linear technique reminds me of Barlowe's stuff - and I mean that as a compliment! Barlowe is one of the artists who really got me interested in alien life forms with viable internal anatomy and musculature. Your critters, as outre as they are, LOOK like they could exist in our reality... Much to the chagrin of their victims, I'd imagine.

Trust me, comparing my art to Barlowe's is the highest compliment I could receive. He's definitely got the gift to inspire folks like us.

Wow, beautifully detailed, and incredibly imaginative. I LOVE how his mouth decends into his chest--very cool. Well done, man.

Some very vicious looking creatures. Love the extent of the detail surrounding the body formation. Very impressive shading work and atmosphere. Awesome work

Awsome beasty! I think the curved spike idea would be cool, but maybe too much like Tyranids from 40K
