Not the greatest scan. This is a colored pencil drawing based on one of my photos from Cape Cod. Phew, this was a hassle to make! I haven't used colored pencil in forever, and it's not the greatest medium for ethereal atmospheric effects. Anyway, enjoy!Related content

This is very nice. I was wondering if I would be able to use this picture in a book a friend and I am publishing about the ocean. Your work will be credited to you with your name in the book by the picture. It's a coffee table book, exibiting many pictures of the ocean as well as any writing (ie. quotes, facts, short stories, poems, lyrics). Please let me know, or if you know anyone who would like to submitt something into the book.

Yeah, I figured halfway through this piece that it would have been waaaaay easier with pastel. Oh well, it was a learning experience.

you did a wonderful job on this. Colored pencils can be rather difficult at times but this is just amazing. I love the blending on colors on the water and sky, especially the sunset. Amazing job
