Description
My first tutorialHow to create your own natural-media brushes for Photoshop, from making the inksplats, brushstrokes, chalk and charcoal textures with messy stuff on paper, bringing them into photoshop and then turning them into a PS brush set.

Oh, this is great. I'm still kinda new to Photoshop and this helped me a huge amount to understand it better. I can't wait to give brush-making a whirl. Thank you so much!

I would would have loved just the brush tutorial, but you went that extra mile and showed the readers how to use them (and alot of really handy shortcuts, too!).

Wow... wonderfull tutorial! I'm sure that this will help a LOT of people who want to be creative with brushes but feel that using stock brushes is less of thier own creation

That's why I started doing it. I didn't like using stock or downloaded brushes and, you're right, I hope people who feel the same way can learn a way out of it..

Definately worth writing down in front of your keyboard till you memorise them. They just make you much more efficient.

Thank you, this was a great tutorial and most certainly a well deserved DD! This really inspired me to get to do some brushes on my Photoshop, and also provided the knowledge for me to be able to do so. Wonderful job with making the tutorial practical and easy to follow too.
