Since most of you wanted to see my Twipan (Twilight/Scorpan) onext gen, here she is! I've been holding off on revealing her for quite some time, too, hehe.

Introducing Starswirl, one of the youngest characters in my Harmonyverse cast! Named after Twilight's hero and Scorpan's good friend, Starswirl is a reluctant, young princess with a timid nature. Insecure and shy, Starswirl is wary of the duties that come with being a princess, from interacting with others and feeling that she doesn't measure up to her mother's grand legacy that looms over her. Starswirl very much feels that she doesn't belong, caused by her insecurity of being so different to ponykind. Much to the worry of Twilight, Starswirl has very little friends, not because she doesn't see value in friendship, but because of her anxieties and fears which prevent her from getting to close to anypony, preferring to hide away in the castle than being out in the real world. Nonetheless, she is obedient enough to her duties (when gently pushed, at least, from her hiding). Although Starswirl seems quietly reserved and hesitant in public, at her core is an adventurous and curious personality, eager for discovery and a touch of danger. Like both her parents, she has a great appreciation for reading, as it forms one her favorite pastimes, among stargazing and learning of distant lands and cultures beyond Equestria. If it were up to her, Starswirl would be out to those places already, but she remains reluctantly faithful to her duties and family. Starswirl's biggest fear is having her mother know of her longing to flee from responsibility and from her home to explore new lands, afraid of the following disappointment Twilight may feel, so she submits quietly to her role as a princess. The hybrid child of a Pony and Gargoyle, in my canon, produces a Sphinx, which are very rare creatures, even beyond Equestria, where they are basically nonexistent. Starswirl's magical abilities, much to her disappointment and shame, are very fickle, since Equestrian magic is difficult for her to grasp by being a non-Equestrian creature. The core of Equestrian magic is based on visualization, while Sphinx magic is emotion and nature based, although this fact is mostly unknown to ponykind, since Sphinx magic has hardly been studied in Equestria. Because she isn't a full pony, Starswirl has no cutiemark. Although she loves her mother, the relationship between Twilight and Starswirl can be a little strained, as Twilight finds it difficult at times to understand her daughter, while Starswirl holds back with being herself in front of her. With Scorpan, however, Starswirl finds herself more at ease, enjoying their father/daughter time, whereas with Twilight their time is marred with slight underlying awkwardness. Starswirl loves listening to her father's stories of far-off places and his adventures, and while Scorpan encourages her adventurous side, he also gently reminds her of the importance of responsibility. Nonetheless, Starswirl loves both her parents, even if at times she may seem distant, more so perhaps with her mother than her father.

Starswirl is definitely one of my favorite next gen characters in Harmonyverse because of her complexity and character. She's a major player in the plot events that occur later on in my canon, where we get to see her flourish and grow in development. In the meantime, however, she remains a wary, young princess, longing for something more than a provincial life in the great, wide somewhere.
