the newer versions of photoshop doesnt have imageready! You can get an animation bar in photoshop by pressing "window" in the top bar and then "animation"

Whenever I use the pencil tool it just does a lighter shading in 9 pixels and the more you go over it the darker it gets. Can you help me because I can't figure out how to get it to just darken one pixel at a time.

how do you get to the "ImageReady" manually? if i try to do it with the fast way you gave nothing happens =/

The shortcut didn't work for me either. I went to 'window', then to 'animation.'
I haven't finished making the emoticon yet, so I'm not sure if I did it right, but it opened up the animator just like in the tutorial. I had to google it to figure it out.
